The issue which I'm curious to know more about, from an insider's perspective, is the protocol for protecting your young kids from media intrusion. Especially overly persistent/ aggressive Paps.
Not those taking mutually beneficial, pre-arranged, 'spontaneously captured' (ahem!) tabloid shots. Or at fair game public events like a kids' film premiere red carpet. Or even just run-of-the-mill snappers, sometimes a bit annoying yet only doing their job and who adhere to rules.
I'm talking about the darker, borderline stalkers so desperate to get their Celeb Family shots for megabucks they lose all scruples. Especially, it seems, if the story's salacious and worth good copy.
Random strangers shouting your name/ clearly provoking or upsetting your parents/ long lensing your family from every direction...must be completely terrifying for kids
Plus any member of the public shoving their flipping phone at you, any time they fancy making a quick quid. Worse in a way?
If fame's only ever been their experience from very early on, I guess they're less bothered, but how does it affect DC new to it all? Can well imagine sensitive, shy ones being really troubled at times.
And why does the pixellating certain kids' faces to protect their identity (sensible, IMO) get flouted, depending on different papers/ magazines/ online outlets? Wouldn't there be a blanket media ban from the same family, backed up by legal action?
I always (probably naively) assumed there was some sort of legal opt-in/ opt-out list circulated to agencies before printing pics of under 16s?
Can't imagine celebs are thrilled by those really cruel, unflattering Pap shots of themselves (e.g body shaming beach or "blimey, hasn't he let himself go?" type), much less unapproved snide ones of their DC?
So many questions! Sorry. But it all truly intrigues me.
