Ungrateful Friend

Hi all so as the title says AIBU to think my friend is an ungrateful witch ? Said friend is always up for a laugh and a joke but she appears to have got the right arse about the birthday present I sent her

what by calling me an ungrateful witch? by not asking me if there's anything wrong and making a thread about me?haha how funny it all is.
I've been speaking to her daily and she did not menrion a thing.
also i did the appropriate haha how funny noises at the time of the present, and only moaned and ffs'ed abt the mess created by the glitter and confetti. but i did gje grownup thing and moaned directly to her instead of slating her on mumsnet and asking strangers what she might be thinking or feeling.
But yeah you're right i am ungrateful.

Rogue, she referred to you as 'sparkling'and states clearly that witch is a term of endearment in your friendship. She has a point, I call my closest friend far worse but it IS a term of endearment. Why throw away a perfectly lovely (non-existent because i can't commit myself fully to believing you) friendship over your inability to read things in context?

Oh no, I don't think it's a great idea to give a joke present unless there's a real present as well. And does your friend really enjoy being called a 'witch'?

Why do people use the word Witch as an insult? I don't use other religious/lifestyle choice terms as an insult.

I would not like that present at all. It is a ridiculous idea - why would anyone want to look at it? I would, however, thank you profusely, pronounce the glitter hilarious and throw it in the bin later
