To ask if you sleep naked?

Been having problems sleeping recently and been scouring the net to look for things to help. One thing suggested was to sleep naked. Apparently there are many reasons it's better for your health, not just a better sex life. Although I've not solved the sleep problems yet, I'm definitely a fan now. I feel more comfy in bed, sweat less and don't get that feeling that I'm on the verge of a uti any more.
Any one else never wear anything in bed?

Yep i hate wearing pjs to sleep in as i move about a lot. I also have a fan at the bottom of the bed to keep cool (even in winter). If i have trouble sleeping i have a nice hot bath, then massage in some temple spa repose cream to my face and neck, really helps. Also have bath with candle light only.

Brummiegirl15 · 09/01/2017 22:14

Yep sleep naked. Every night unless I'm on. Then I'll wear pants as a sign to say to DH - sorry not tonight love.

I only wear pants and vests when staying somewhere else. Wouldn't dream of being a guest in someone's house and being naked.

That said when my parents stay over at ours, DH wears boxers "just in case there's a fire"

Er we are in our 40's, married and have a child. I'm fairly sure my parents know we have sex. Bless him

Niggit · 09/01/2017 22:26

Always. Hotels, other people's houses, when we have people staying, make no difference - that's what dressing gowns are for, imo. If we have the place to ourselves we go from bed to bog and back again like it, and the kitchen in the morning to make tea, too (in the summer - in the winter there are no leaves on the hedge between us and next door and the risk of traumatising them, one of their offspring or one of their grandkids is too great!)

I'm a mixture. Sometimes pyjamas, sometimes a nightie, sometimes naked... Don't feel any different warmth wise. Obviously I wear pants when on period. My friend wears pyjamas, pants and socks to bed... I hate wearing socks to bed as my feet feel all weird and sweaty in the morning, and also feels weird in the morning when I've been wearing pants overnight when not on period! Different strokes for different folks I guess.

MissVictoria · 10/01/2017 02:58

I don't think i could ever bring myself to do it, even right after a shower. I've hd major germ phobic OCD my whole life though and i'd be irrationally worried about passing gas as "letting out" germs. Add in any vaginal secretions, i'd feel like i'd contaminated my entire body, i struggle badly enough not showering after every toilet trip like i'm trying to "contain" the germs on my skin under the clothing. I probably couldn't even do in my underwear.

PetalMettle · 10/01/2017 05:09

I used to but it's too cold and weird getting up to do feeds

PollytheDolly · 10/01/2017 05:28

Yeah! Naked is the way. Ooo and when you have fresh sheets too. Bliss

MissStein · 10/01/2017 12:41

aaah, naked and fresh sheets. Thats my plans for tonight. Does life get any better Grin

BabychamSocialist · 10/01/2017 12:47

Well considering DP goes to bed in sweatpants, a long sleeved top and an LFC bobble cap, and I sleep in a onesie and thermal socks, no! We're both always freezing though.

Kids have no such problems - boxers and a t-shirt throughout the year for them.

user1473256244 · 10/01/2017 12:49

I always sleep naked.......cook naked..........relax at home naked.........be naked at the beach.........anywhere and everywhere I can get away with it. Ask long as it's warm enough, it's a great way to be.
It makes you very much more accepting of your body and of others.

CockacidalManiac · 10/01/2017 16:02

cook naked

Don't things get in the way? Or get singed?

SapphireStrange · 10/01/2017 16:02

I'd be VERY worried about oil splashes...

SaucyJack · 10/01/2017 16:43

I'd be stirring my pasta with my nipples if I cooked naked.

CockacidalManiac · 10/01/2017 17:57

Saucy Jack, you're a naughty one.

lalaland1985 · 10/01/2017 18:02

9 times out of 10 o sleep naked and I'm in Scotland!

confusedofengland · 10/01/2017 18:19

DH & I both sleep naked. If one of us is ill & therefore wearing pjs, it doesn't feel like a proper snuggle to me Sad Equally, it doesn't seem to equal more sex (although it did in the beginning, when we were passionate twentysomethings Grin)

My parents also slept naked when I was growing up & used to wander around upstairs naked, as DH & I do now. It never bothered me in the slightest bit. It also means I am very comfortable about changing in communal areas for the gym/swimming & other situations like that.

daddyorscience · 10/01/2017 19:10

I've always slept naked. Unless I'm in someone elses house. Kids do too.. They wear PJs at their mum's, but here.. No, getting them to wear clothes is like herding cats. It's fair to say we're totally unfazed by it. Although DS (4.5) goes through stages of "Haha! Willy!".Hmm

If I point out that yes, he also has one, I get "no, don't. Shush"... Bless him..Grin

hollinhurst84 · 10/01/2017 19:12

Captain Grin I have days where I cannot get warm and to add to the listed layers will be a dressing gown and a hat Blush
I sleep with the 13.5 tog duvet most of the year, in summer a sheet but I still have the socks on

hollinhurst84 · 10/01/2017 19:14

In fact I forgot this. I started having night sweats and mentioned it to my dad who went ConfusedHmmShock "um perhaps you might need an emergency doctors appointment?"
I was trying to explain to the doctor that I sleep with a million layers on and night sweats do not feature in my life!

DesolateWaist · 10/01/2017 19:16

Naked unless it's that time of the month, I have guests, I'm sleeping anywhere other than home.

DesolateWaist · 10/01/2017 19:17

Oh and that is in the nip with a 9tog max, heating off and windows open even in -10.

user1483804139 · 10/01/2017 19:17

Used to be pajamas and pants underneath. Since I got with DH 10yr ago though it's been completely starkers. Can't bare the thought of anything on my bottom half and DH is like a radiator.

CoconutGal · 10/01/2017 20:45

I do. It's the most comfortable way I can sleep. I get too hot in the night with pjs on.

donajimena · 10/01/2017 21:05

I go to bed Sherpa Tensing stylee..

motleymop · 10/01/2017 21:09

Just in my undercrackers. Unless it is really cold, in which case I might also wear a vest. Cannot abide the feeling of clothes in bed!
