To ask if you sleep naked?

Been having problems sleeping recently and been scouring the net to look for things to help. One thing suggested was to sleep naked. Apparently there are many reasons it's better for your health, not just a better sex life. Although I've not solved the sleep problems yet, I'm definitely a fan now. I feel more comfy in bed, sweat less and don't get that feeling that I'm on the verge of a uti any more.
Any one else never wear anything in bed?

Always in the nud. Windows open. Earplugs in (DH snores lustily). I have a wafty kaftan thing if I need to cover up.

TheThingsWeAdmitOnMN · 08/01/2017 23:41

Mostly. If I'm sleeping alone & it's cold I might wear a t shirt. I'm fat with big boobs, not yet had a bloke run a mile because I sleep naked.

If I'm sharing a room with a friend I'll wear a t shirt & light weight running shorts, to save my friends from a ghastly experience 😂

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 08/01/2017 23:41

Yep, always sleep in the buff apart from when on my period when I wear knickers, or on holiday if we are sharing a room with DS and I will wear knickers and a t-shirt. It feels much more free and luxurious.

SaucyJack · 08/01/2017 23:42

Nope. Vest and pyjamas bottoms.

I used to sleep naked when I was thin, but I really hate that feeling of hot flab dragging over yet more hot flab. Even moreso in summer.

rightsofwomen · 08/01/2017 23:42

Currently naked with hot water bottle (in a gorilla cover) on my belly.
I sleep alone or DS snuggles in (also naked or with pants). Love it.
I feel the cold but am always warm in my bed. High tog duvet all year round. Heating off, window open a bit. I hate getting out of bed.

LovelyBranches · 08/01/2017 23:43

I am in awe of your naked freedom. I wear a vest top and pj bottoms to bed. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and have just switched to wearing a sports bra to bed but I usually wear an underwired bra to bed too. I don't feel comfortable otherwise.

rightsofwomen · 08/01/2017 23:44

And I'm as thin as a pin.

TheThingsWeAdmitOnMN · 08/01/2017 23:44

Can't be done with PJ's or nighties, they end up twisted around in a most uncomfortable position.

As for more sex, I don't know, it doesn't seem to be an issue either way.

Esspee · 08/01/2017 23:48

Stopped wearing nightwear as a teenager. Not keen on clothes daytime either! Shock

LauderSyme · 08/01/2017 23:48

I rarely sleep naked, I don't feel cosy enough, and struggle to drop off. And even on the odd occasion the rest of me is unclothed, I always wear socks! If I ever go to bed without them, I can't sleep and have to get up and put some on. I don't half feel the cold...

DragonNoodleCake · 08/01/2017 23:56

Treacle this made my night I have never in my life woken in the night feeling frisky. That sounds like something that would disturb my sleep...^

Yip I hear ya

Catra · 08/01/2017 23:56

Most of the time I sleep naked - there's something so freeing about it. The exception is when it's freezing cold, in which case, I'll usually wear a thermal top, but still no bottoms. Having said that, I do own umpteen pairs of pyjamas, but I wear these when slobbing about the house on my days off.

My DH won't wear pyjamas in bed either because he finds them restrictive, but nor will he wear pyjamas out of bed - if he's lounging around he simply wears a dressing gown with nothing underneath it, or he'll put jeans on, which is weird for me, because I find jeans insanely uncomfortable.

I have a large bust, but I'm stunned that other people wear bras in bed - mine comes off the moment I walk through my front door and doesn't go on again until I leave, unless I have guests over.

Catra · 08/01/2017 23:57

In fact, we're sitting here now at the kitchen table and I'm wearing pyjama bottoms and a thermal top and he's wearing a dressing gown and nothing else. Been like that all day ...

SkyLucy · 09/01/2017 00:01

I've always slept naked, and DH does too. Hate the idea of clothes in bed - love being snuggled against the duvet...and DH! Not yet got kids though...wonder if habits will change when we do?

Empathise with a PP who said they forget pyjamas when going to stay with friends - I've done the same many times, so ironically have a large collection of nightwear, all panic-bought!

Sparkesx · 09/01/2017 00:04

I always sleep naked unless I'm on my period. Even then it's pants and shorts!

Redglitter · 09/01/2017 00:05

I absolutely hate sleeping naked. Definitely pj's for me

talksensetome · 09/01/2017 00:08

Naked with windows open here too.

If I feel the need for knickers at any part of my cycle etc I always go for big cotton ones. Don't want to encourage thrush.

FairyHoneydragonTwinkleScrotum · 09/01/2017 00:18

I'm currently in pants. Dd got in my bed earlier, as she often does she appears untraumatised.Confused

Ds and dh sleep stark bollock naked. Ds has a loft bed, so I tend to knock loudly to check he's up in the morning because although we're not bothered by nudity I do find that encountering a swinging hairy scrotum bobbing down a ladder a little much before I have had my coffee in the morning.

WanderingTrolley1 · 09/01/2017 00:22

No. Always wear pjs.

crazyspaniellady · 09/01/2017 00:24

I would like to, but I sleepwalk and we never shut the blind in the kitchen, which is the place I frequent most on an unconscious stroll. Don't think the neighbours would appreciate seeing me starkers when nipping down for a glass of water in the night Blush

TheThingsWeAdmitOnMN · 09/01/2017 01:22

crazyspaniellady. We don't have any curtains or blinds - anywhere. What the neighbours haven't seen, isn't worth seeing. We've all got pretty much the same bits, they'll get over it.

MommaGee · 09/01/2017 01:26

I sleep naked, have done for years. Guess I'll have to stop at some point when DS cares.

Does this mean I can save my pj's for Tesco?

SoleBizzz · 09/01/2017 01:39

Aside from a t shirt, yes. Always naked in Summer.

myreign · 09/01/2017 01:42

I hate clothes in bed, its so uncomfortable. I have medium-sized boobs but don't see the need to keep them strapped into position 24-7!

You need decent bedding though, the stuff that goes bobbly is horrible against your skin.

BeaLola · 09/01/2017 02:05

Always naked except if DH is away - then Pj bottoms/knickers and tshirt - stems from being awoken by burglars when naked and on own.
