To have sex in my own house when we have guests?

SeriousCreativeBlock · 03/01/2017 01:11

My friend and her 4 year old ds turned up at my house for New Years with the intention of staying six days (this is a whole other issue, she knows I have a deadline coming up next week and I am stressed). Her visit, and the last just before Christmas, has been a constant series of put downs ranging from remarking on my father's "failing business", questioning my parenting, naming my dd a sociopath and a "mini Donald Trump" (she's FOUR!) and gaslighting me regarding my mental illness.

This evening, at half 12 at night, dp and I had sex. We were very quiet, although the bed creaks slightly. Afterwards, I went into the kitchen where she launched into a tirade about how I could have waited until her son was asleep.

AIBU to think that a small child should really be asleep at 12:30, and that I should be able to have sex in my own house without being made to feel guilty? I feel like I'm being shamed for having an active sex life.

Simply tell her together ,first thing tomorrow, that you have neither time or energy to worry about her or her opinions, and you want her to leave immediately .

SparkyStar84 · 03/01/2017 03:20

Your house, your rules and decisions. Her DC should be asleep by then.

It sounds like a toxic friendship you would miss.

Perhaps next time she's being unpleasant say, I didn't realise you didn't like my company, why bother staying another day if so much about me bothers you.

Hopefully you'll either get an apology or flustered past acquaintance dashing through your front door to leave.

Really hope you're not taking her ill thought comments to mind. I'm assuming her DC & her are perfect in everyway, or at least think they are!

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 03/01/2017 03:23

Fuck that! Shock

Kick the bitch out. No one in their right mind would judge you.

...Snapchat your brother...Jesus....

Mooey89 · 03/01/2017 03:38

She sounds awful!!!

Mummyoflittledragon · 03/01/2017 03:41

Does she have mental health issues? She sounds a bit unstable. Even if she does, it isn't your job to help her. You've just lost a baby. Sorry for your loss. Kick her out. Now. Protect yourself.

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 03/01/2017 04:19

Yep, tell her to fuck off

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 03/01/2017 04:20

And end this toxic 'friendship' too.

Manumission · 03/01/2017 04:24

What is that stopped you from easing her out before now?

CheerfulYank · 03/01/2017 04:27

Wtf?!

BonsGirl · 03/01/2017 04:30

Snapchat your brother? What the actual fuck???

Seriously, tell her to fuck off out of your home and not return. She's rude and obnoxious. It's YOUR home and at 12.30 her child should be asleep!

horseyperson · 03/01/2017 04:58

wow its hard to imagine anyone would treat a friend like that.
seriously you must have had some shit in the past to evan begin to think that someone should get away with treating you like that.
She needs to get out of your home and get some sex herself, she sounds very jealous of you.

LellyMcKelly · 03/01/2017 05:40

Next time she says something just say, "Look, it's very clear you are unhappy and don't like it here. Perhaps you would be more comfortable in Your own home".

HermioneWoozle · 03/01/2017 05:45

Kick her out this morning.

bloodymaria · 03/01/2017 05:46

Why on earth are you putting up with her treating you like that?

LagunaBubbles · 03/01/2017 05:47

She isn't a friend. No true friend treats another like this. It's not just horrible but down right odd behaviour. I'm really concerned that you are saying you don't have the "balls" to ask her to leave....what are you worried about? Tell your partner and get rid of her, but just from your house, but your life. Why would you put up with this in your own home??

coconutpie · 03/01/2017 05:51

I'm speechless at how obnoxious she is being! Tell her in the morning that she needs to leave immediately. Have your DP there to back you up.

emmyhNL · 03/01/2017 05:52

She needs to go. Would your DP stand up to her?

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 03/01/2017 06:12

Wow! She needs to go.

EZA15 · 03/01/2017 06:19

Let us know what happens when you all wake up OP. Does your husband not stick up for your dd when she picks on her?

I'd get her sectioned tbh!

OnionKnight · 03/01/2017 06:32

Tell her to fuck off, if you can't do it then get your partner to do it.

With friends like her who needs enemies.

LavenderDoll · 03/01/2017 06:32

She sounds a nightmare

Threatening to snap chat your brother is just batshit

Ask her to leave - End the friendship

StealthPolarBear · 03/01/2017 06:35

Kick her out and tell her if she tries to blackmail you you will call the police.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 03/01/2017 06:36

To be honest, even if she apologised, I wouldn't accept it after all that.
