I've seen so many posts recently with kisses on, not just after a post but after every sentence. I hate it.

Also words such as bubba and hubby have been creeping in.

Does it bother anyone else or aibu to want to punch my computer every time I see it?

I've honestly never been on Netmums, are they as weirdly obsessed with taking the piss and being petty and nasty about over here as some over here are about them?

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 29/12/2016 23:36

Have plenty of huns on fb but have to admit tinkly laugh and head tilt piss me off much more.

PickAChew · 29/12/2016 23:40

It's what comes in between the xx or "hun" that makes me pay attention or move swiftly on to one of the other 500 threads I've not yet read xx

pipsqueak25 · 29/12/2016 23:44

net huns are invading our beloved mn ?? bring out the flaming torches and pitch forks, let's run 'em off our patch i say ! Grin

olderthanyouthink · 29/12/2016 23:47

WellErrr for the ticker imitation

RJnomore1 · 29/12/2016 23:50

It annoys me too. I know it's petty but I came here originally because it was untainted by that pretty much and it does spoil my reading pleasure. If I wanted to read that sort of thing I would've registered with Facebook.

Yeah I know, petty, miserable, should have more to worry about... but it DOES irritate me.

Vapours · 29/12/2016 23:52

Cos you're all so perfect, aren't you?

MysticTwat · 29/12/2016 23:53
NoMudNoLotus · 29/12/2016 23:54

Doesn't bother me at all.

It shows somebody is being compassionate - at the end of the day the meaning attached to those symbols is well meant & with good intention .

We need that in today's society .

FriendofBill · 29/12/2016 23:54

I use kisses in messages genuinely and in context.
Not to give a piece of information. Or during a discussion.
After every sentence.
Ridiculous.
I agree with OP that I don't like that style of communication.
However, I do plenty that annoys others I expect.

Live and let live.

HelenaWay · 29/12/2016 23:55

Cos you're all so perfect, aren't you?

Ffs. I'm not saying I'm perfect. I'm just saying I don't like being kissed at by strangers.

OP posts:
SenseiWoo · 29/12/2016 23:55

It ebbs and flows. Always has. It's not my style but if it is well-meant, who cares?

FriendofBill · 29/12/2016 23:56

Cross post NoMud, I don't think it is compassion, more of a 'girls' full stop.

I do however, like your username.

Marmalade85 · 30/12/2016 00:00

U ok Hun? Xxxxx

GimmeeMoore · 30/12/2016 00:04

Vapours · 30/12/2016 00:05

No fear of compassion here matey. We're all too cool, with it, hip, well educated.

Empress13 · 30/12/2016 00:06

OP you haven't explained what Nethun means ? Now that word offends me!

GimmeeMoore · 30/12/2016 00:08

Marmalade85 · 30/12/2016 00:09

Ur bubba ur rulz Hun xxxxx

sobeyondthehills · 30/12/2016 00:11

Its netmums.

Its the place people go, when they get flamed in AIBU, slag off MNs and then get pissed that they can't swear.

Mumsnet is the place, where people who get banned from Netmums come onto.

I use both for different reasons, enjoy parts of both, despair at other parts.

Get blasted for my spelling and punctuation on both ;)

headinhands · 30/12/2016 00:12

Nope. Don't give a shit. They're not submitting an essay for fucks sake. It's informal. Bring on the love! Xxxxxx

DontTouchTheMoustache · 30/12/2016 00:12

mummydawn07 · 30/12/2016 00:12

Oysterbabe your post made me chuckle..
I don'tmind the x on the end it's all the hun every minute it gets a bit tiring reading oh hun but it will be ok hun and hope you are ok hun Angry once said is enough. and also I though U AND UR and LUV ( those sort of text abbreviations died out a while a go ) when I was younger we used to use them so we could fit more into a text but keeping it as 1 page or you got charged a whole 10p ( however much it was ) just for a few extra words Grin oh another one that irritated me was bbe and bbs really did/do not see the point in missing out one letter in the word babe!
