Never turned up to their child's school play, sports day or other events? Did go to parents evenings.

Parents evenings were a priority to attend, but between us - we could rarely manage the daytime events because of work. I had to book unpaid leave to manage all of the the school holidays. I am sure many parents are in the same boat.
I think it's all the more difficult if you have no family to assist with childcare, the school holidays eat all of your leave up.

i would think that the school really needed to organise a better way to allow parents to see these things and work on a way to get it done
