Fuming, raging, heartbroken....

It seems like this is used about everything now.

AIBU to wonder why nobody is ever just a bit miffed or slightly put out anymore?

And what happens to the fuming, heartbroken ragers who get so angry about an innocuous comment from a teacher or a sideways glance on public transport when something really bad happens? Do their heads actually explode?! Confused

Isn't fumming one of those acts that gets discussed on the Sex topic?

ItsALLAboutMeMeMeME · 29/11/2016 23:01

BitOutOfPractice Itsallaboutmememe I read your post quickly and thought you were boasting about your micro muff

My micro muff? WTAF are you implying? Who's been talking? It was my rancid cuntwaffle SIL wasn't it? Fucking knew it was a mistake going to the spa with her. Was it on her Facebook? Omigod the shame and humiliation. I'm gutted and devastated and absobloodylutely livid. Livid I tell you. After all I've done for that narcissistic bitch too, I'd never tell a soul about her 70s bush.

I know, I know MN, I need to set some boundaries and/or go NC.

SukiPutTheEarlGreyOn · 29/11/2016 23:26

Just got back from playing 'fuming, raging, heartbroken' bingo on other AIBU threads. Not quite managed a full house yet (yep, you incandescent - where are you hiding?) This abject failure has obviously left me shaking and howling with mild irritation. Now will go in search of the bonus points awarded when a fumming is spotted. When it's found the fanfare will be heard throughout MN land.

Oh, I do hope this thread runs and runs; a welcome haven of perspective in an OTT world.

Scooby20 · 30/11/2016 06:38

One of my colleagues was 'heartbroken' yesterday. A guy who worked for her for a whole month handed his notice in.

I couldn't even fake sympathy I just said 'Really heartbroken?' Her response was ' well not heartbroken but disappointed'

It made me incandescent with rage and I am pretty sure my piss was verging on itching.

Scooby20 · 30/11/2016 06:40

I have noticed a lot of people calling people out on MN recently. As in 'shall I call her out on it?' Or 'so I called her out on it'

I think they mean 'shall I mention it/so I mentioned it

I've thought about this a lot since I started the thread and I've now decided it isn't my colleague who didn't get me a coffee who is making me heartbroken, it's all of you. YOU ARE ALL BULLIES, and I am REPORTING everyone, and I am crushed and devastated, and fumming, and I am going NC with the lot of you an LTMN. Flounce

Seriously though, the other one that annoys me is "you know your baby". Or the NetHuns equivalent 'ur bubba, ur rulez hun'. Great advice for someone who just lacks a bit of confidence in their parenting, terrible advice for those of us who come on here because we haven't a clue what we are doing!

I can't believe none of you even commented on my King Joffrey meme. I literally spent minutes of my life finding that and posting it, and none of you even care. You're all a bunch of narcissistic vipers and I am going NC with all of you too, after reporting you , calling 101 to log my complaint, getting my free half an hour with the solicitor, AND LTB. So there! Have literally never been this heartbroken. I am sobbing.

MN at its best. Just wow.

Scooby20 · 30/11/2016 07:33

navy I think that too. But everytime I have asked an op if they possibly perhaps came across aggressive when calling the person out. They claim it was more of a discussion, mention etc.

Perhaps some of the people who are using it, don't know what it means. [Grin] literally Wink

NoSunNoMoon · 30/11/2016 07:42

This is very irritating when it happen, no?

And, you know, so is this.

GinAndTunic · 30/11/2016 07:56

The reason you're all so unsympathetic is clearly because you're autistic.

PS: I love the term 'rancid cuntwaffle'.

Pipistrelle40 · 30/11/2016 08:17

I was 'Incandescent with rage over lost luggage' Saw it as an opportunity to use words that I like that I feel are underused. Am looking for opportunities to use debacle and cacophony, regularly use outrageous in conversation.

Redglitter · 30/11/2016 08:52

OP you might want to get this thread deleted. It's very identifying!!! You work, you have colleagues, you like porridge and drink cappuccino.

I'm sure MNHQ will be happy to delete it due to privacy concerns Grin

Pipistrelle40 · 30/11/2016 08:59

People who say they have flu when its a bad cold. If you have flu you will most likely be in bed for at least a week possibly more. Not out on the razzle two nights later dancing your socks off. Yes you have a cold, yes it feels horrible and feels like death warmed up. You will get over it. Lemon, honey and paracetamol will sort you out

Written from sick bed with head cold and sinus problems.

Scooby20 · 30/11/2016 09:01

pip are you sure it's not flu? Grin

GinIsIn · 30/11/2016 09:01

Redglitter organic porridge. I am OFFENDED that you would imply otherwise - it's DISGUSTING! Grin

Redglitter · 30/11/2016 09:38

heartskey · 30/11/2016 10:02

I'm amazed at how everyone in the world is so beautiful , gorgeous or stunning these days too. It really doesn't matter what you look like, if you put a pic up on Facebook you automatically will be. You'll also be officially known as "hun" too.
