It seems like this is used about everything now.

AIBU to wonder why nobody is ever just a bit miffed or slightly put out anymore?

And what happens to the fuming, heartbroken ragers who get so angry about an innocuous comment from a teacher or a sideways glance on public transport when something really bad happens? Do their heads actually explode?! Confused

I liked it when someone said one of my posts had made her spit her tea.

It was March 2012. It was quite funny. Not hilarious though. I've been a lot more amusing since then.

centreyourself · 29/11/2016 17:45

Sukey your post at 13.10 and Barbara* yours at 15.00 made me pmsl so much I fell off my chair. And now I'VE HuRT MY HEAD.
Honestly some people are just so.fucking.selfish. And entitled.

centreyourself · 29/11/2016 17:46

Ahem, bold type fail Blush

falange · 29/11/2016 17:53

YANBU. And that's that.

StrangeChanges · 29/11/2016 17:55

Well, I'm just literally gutted that none of you have even noticed that I'm literally stressed out of my mind that my little bubba is only second sheep in the school nativity and not the Virgin Mary. Bubba is devastated and probably scarred for life because she's an amazing actress. Will need to take her to Disneyland to make up for the heart wrenching disappointment.

Shodan · 29/11/2016 17:57

Blimey, Shodan how very odd! Who
would find them sexy?
And what
Would happen if you moved? So many questions!

Aren't they just the most delightful things, Bertrand? Grin I was highly tickled by the 'fit' rating. I didn't know pearls could 'fit' in that region at all, tbh. Although I can imagine that if they were too small, the consequences could be disastrous...

people who "turned around and said..." and then when the person they're talking to has "turned around and said. .." and the 1st person has "turned around and said. .." A friend was recounting a story to me recently exactly like this. I asked her if she'd actually spun round and round while she was talking, and she looked at me like this > Confused Hmm Confused. She didn't get what I was saying at all.

PlayOnWurtz · 29/11/2016 17:58

I'd love to let some of these people live my life then they'll know what being stressed is

Usually people break open the superlatives over nonsense and it annoys me as much as neat freaks saying they have "a touch of ocd"

Twats

SukeyTakeItOffAgain · 29/11/2016 18:32

Sukey your post at 13.10 and Barbara yours at 15.00 made me pmsl so much I fell off my chair.*

Fantastic! I have never knowingly made anyone fall off a chair with laughter before. I feel fulfilled.

SukeyTakeItOffAgain · 29/11/2016 18:35

I also boldfailed.

OMG I AM SO MORTIFIED I COULD DIE

Thisjustinno · 29/11/2016 18:37

DP heard me laughing from the next room and popped his head round the door to say 'Mumsnet again darling?'.

I think I've giggled at a handful of posts over 8 years on MN. I laugh a lot in RL. I don't know what I'm missing that is making posters laugh out loud, wake the baby up, spit tea over the computer or have their DP hear them laughing from the next room.

Fuming, raging, heartbroken....
YouTheCat · 29/11/2016 19:21

Can I be dyspeptic with rage? Grin Usually I just about manage 'mildly pissed off with feelings of what's-the-point and general can't be botheredness'.

limitedperiodonly · 29/11/2016 19:30

Entitled people feature a lot. Usually behind the wheel of a BMW with personalised plates.

I have never read a thread about an arsehole driving a 2007 Qashqai

CinderellaRockefeller · 29/11/2016 19:46

Everyone on this thread?

I'm embarrassed for you.

ScrambledSmegs · 29/11/2016 19:58

There hasn't been a thread about my DB yet then limited Wink

Redglitter · 29/11/2016 20:26

Has anyone been accessed of bullying yet that's usually a favourite

OP aibu?
Every single reply. Yes!!
OP No I'm not
Lone shit stirrer - I can't believe how much the op is being bullied. You're all bullies

Redglitter · 29/11/2016 20:27

Accessed.?? Accused even Hmm

limitedperiodonly · 29/11/2016 20:32

I'm frequently accused of being boring redglitter. I'm beginning to think they have a point

Oddbins · 29/11/2016 20:45

I'm mildly annoyed by the people that are in love with things

OMG I'm in LOVE with my new lipstick (always Younique and always a "presenter"

OMG I'm in LOVE with the new drink at Costa

OMG I'm in LOVE with my new shoes

Should I be incandescent with rage? I've been eye rolling and hiding their posts on FB. I feel emotionally stunted.

BertrandRussell · 29/11/2016 20:45

I was on a thread about a million years ago about starting a campaign called "Stand Up for the Enlightenment" with several late lamented posters, including MartianBishop and OneBatMother which really made me laugh a lot.............

Since then I have had a lot of wry smiles, and the occasional giggle of identification. But no more than that.

Giselaw · 29/11/2016 20:55

I make it a drinking game. Sip a bit of my wine for every time a poster fumes on someone's behalf.

When I read a 5+ page thread, I anxiously anticipate that lone poster darlingly offering a different viewpoint. I steady myself as I know two or three posts later, someone else will pipe up with the ever so bitchy response of ....

[username], are you the ex-DP /horrid friend / whoever supposedly wronged the OP?

It's my cue for a top up. Aaah, just found one too. Happy days.

franincisco · 29/11/2016 21:07

I see quite a few "feeling heartbroken" FB statuses, mostly because their child has a temperature, D&V, or any other fairly minor ailment. Always followed by 30 "I know, it is just sooooo heartbreaking" comments.

Lelloteddy · 29/11/2016 21:11

The relationship posts which start off with some poor bloke failing to empty the bin and end up with him being labelled as a raging, abusive narcissist who deserves to be taken for every penny and given contact with his kids once a fortnight by the middle of page 2 never cease to amaze me. It's like a runaway train every time.

derxa · 29/11/2016 21:25

I can't get over 'fumming'. I'm easily pleased.
