... well it's been a busy last weekend making sure everything's perfect for the official start of Christmas in 4 days, Grin, but the tree' now up and decorated, last minute presents wrapped, cards written and ready to be posted, chest freezers all full to the brim with festive goodies, Christmas bedding on, food order done, my 6 secret santas sorted! I can now relax with mulled wine in front of the fire and my DH can get his DW back! - Each year it gets more manic but this year's been worse than I can remember despite it feeling like it's taken over my life since the kids went back in September!

What is with all this Christmas bedding being manky and rank and stuff by Christmas eve? Did I miss the post where she stated she had no washing machine? Or is christmassive bedding not washable?

PosiePootlePerkins · 27/11/2016 21:53

Um, well, I've ordered a few bits from Amazon....
Ooh, and I've bought Advent Calendars....
Er, no sorry that's it so far

Oh and elf on the shelf... 25 days of props and naughtiness organised.. xmas bedding also purchased for the boys.

Sparklingbrook · 27/11/2016 21:57

I really don't see the point of Christmas bedding. I will just put some tinsel and fairy lights on my headboard. Wink

bibbitybobbityyhat · 27/11/2016 21:57

Ha ha ha! Excellent goadying op. Well done.

birdybirdywoofwoof · 27/11/2016 21:58

Do you Christmas bedding people do the Christmas underwear too?

Bobsmum02 · 27/11/2016 22:01

Bibbity I've got Pj's that say 'merry Christmas ya filthy animal'....that's the closest to Christmas undies that my DH is going to see!!

If this isn't serious, there are about 20 people amongst my Facebook friends who could have written it. We've had pictures of huge trees, fully decorated houses and Christmas bedding galore.
You must all have massive lofts to store all this shite the rest of the year.

MsJamieFraser · 27/11/2016 22:07

Nowt wrong with xmas bedding, our elf brigs them every year in then1st (same bedding) they wake on the first and jingles changed their bed overnight.

The bedding is used every year, I can buy my kids character bedding that they outgrow within a month, as long as they live in this house they won't outgrow their bedding, as won't me and dh.

I've got my Tesco delivery slot booked - does that count?

chibsortig · 27/11/2016 22:09

I've wrapped some presents but only because I have too many children and not enough places to hide stuff. I hate that Christmas has become a September to January thing it loses it's magic if you ask me.
I love Christmas but only from mid December I do not want my tree up yet as i dont want to suffer the nonsense of my toddlers taking the damn thing apart every chance they get. Grin So it's staying in the loft a while longer yet.

I think that for many people, the only thing stopping them getting everything sorted, is money.

I for one would have everything done, if I had more cash.

I'm freelance and sometimes have to wait weeks to get paid...I won't be paid for another 2 weeks...so that's when I will get the DC gifts.

Tree won't go up till December though. Can't abide having it there for ages....it always looks sad by the time Christmas rolls around.

YoungPretenderMortificado · 27/11/2016 22:10

Nice one, OP.

I do have my Ocado Christmas slot reserved and a trolley full of booze checked out.

Halo
BestZebbie · 27/11/2016 22:13

MsFraser - slightly off topic, but why does the person in the single bed in that photo sleep right next to a pile of firewood logs? Is that part of the decoration, or there all year? Doesn't it attract pillow spiders?

Lynnm63 · 27/11/2016 22:13

I've made a list, does that count?

Parmaviolets13 · 27/11/2016 22:14

Banana, you're not alone. All mine is done too, but mainly because we bought a house this year and I wanted to start early so I could budget. Now, we can enjoy Christmas in December without panicking. Enjoy it!

I assumed MsFraser hadn't photographed the actual beds in her house. Grin just an advert for the bedding.

I don't know anyone in RL that has Christmas bedding or does all that new PJs on Christmas Eve palava, or Elf on the creepy shelf.

Parmaviolets13 · 27/11/2016 22:16

Oh and I work full time plus weekends every now and again, it doesn't mean you have too much time on your hands! 😉

Bananabread123 · 27/11/2016 22:16

I disagree... Time is the reason.
