This is so ridiculous, many of them look around 25.

I was also surprised at how clean and neat and tidy they looked with nice hair styles.

Jesus fucking Christ now they look too CLEAN?

lostowl · 19/10/2016 19:38

Do any of the people who are denying the fact that these males are men have any daughters?? I bet not because they don't seem bothered about their integration into schools and other areas of society. I do have daughters and right now I am afraid for their safety in school if some of these blokes use the system. I am also a secondary school teacher and see year 11s and there's no way these males are the same age. Stop kidding yourselves you lefty loonies ffs.

DoinItFine · 19/10/2016 19:40

I read it was the french charity who did the age checks. then passed them to us.

Do you have a link?

That would be extraordinary, if true.

The conflict of interest would be enormous.

Bitofacow · 19/10/2016 19:41

Everything Almond said, but it's not just girls being raped.

Traffickers move children in and out of camps to where they are 'used'.

FluffyPineapple · 19/10/2016 19:56

Can anyone explain why these teenmen are being taken into foster care when the reason they have been allowed entry is because they have family living in the UK. Can't the family give them a bed and some food? Or would that be too much to ask? You know....to look after their own....

Dontpanicpyke · 19/10/2016 19:56

winchester thank you she is getting there.

Of course we should help rape victims but it's not women and children raping is it? So we need to make bloody sure that the young men we admit here arnt going to add to the number of our own rapist fuckers.

I want to see us helping women and children from Syrian camps not fit young men. Yes I know men rape other men but they have had the right to move to camps in the north of France which are smaller and safer so why not go?

Thry don't go because that involves finger printing and maybe finding out that some are economic migrants and not refugees.

Not all these men are Syrians some are Turks and Pakistanis etc and are mingling as Asylum seekers. Of course they are why wouldn't they? I don't blame them but we are not helping the really vulnerable children we need to.

Dontpanicpyke · 19/10/2016 19:59

Bito all the more reason to close the camps and stop accepting people which just fuels the traffickers and hurts the vulnerable. Safe havens in safe countries are needed across Europe but taking from camps in Syria and Iraq so we know we are helping genuine refugees.

Bitofacow · 19/10/2016 20:12

I have no issue with the camp being closed. I just don't belive we would put anything in it's place. British public opinion would not allow any government to properly fund an alternative.

For years people have argued increasing foreign aid would save money in the UK but people say "what about the homeless on our streets?"

I don't want to accuse anyone of doing this but some comments are coming very close to blaming the victims. You are a man you can't come in. Just because you are a Syrian man you are not automatically a rapist and you may well be a victim.

No Link its behind Pay wall

The Times today

"The home office said the initial verification o the age of unaccompanied minors was carried out by French authorities before the youngsters are brought to Britain"

" One unnamed aid worker in Calais raised concerns that adults may be lying about their age to reach Britian. The worker said:" It is a complete mess. Those at the front of the queue are not the most needy or vulnerable -- they are adults pretending to be children"

DoinItFine · 19/10/2016 20:20

French authorities is even worse than a French charity.

They have a clear vested interest in offloading men onto the UK to process.

Thanks for posting :)

Bitofacow · 19/10/2016 20:21

Fluffy family may mean an uncle or a cousin who lives in a bedsit. The relatives will probably by asylum seekers as well so they will not be housed in luxurious circumstances no matter what the Daily Bastard tells us. Asylum seekers can't work and are given approx £36 a week so they will not have a lot left over to help anyone.

Foster care also doesn't necessarily mean a family home it could mean an independent living facility or room in a supported lodging.

Hope this helps clear things up.

justgivemeamo · 19/10/2016 20:22

Can anyone tell me why we are not deploying the army to search lorries?

and stop the migrants hiding in them? hundreds of men are flooding into the uk every month via this route, a migrant was found crushed in a lorry yesterday, every week we read of near escapes - of migrants packed into various lorries...its utter maddness.

DoinItFine · 19/10/2016 20:26

So these children are being accepted even if the (non-immediate) family in the UK have not had their asylum claims processed?

That seems extraordinary.

Wasn't the idea to unite unaccompanied children with refugee adults who could care for them?

Not provide another loophole to be exploited by "the fittest".

WinchesterWoman · 19/10/2016 20:26

failed asylum seekers are sent back.

in dream world

Do you think I am so naive I don't know that men can be raped. One young boy was raped in a European swimming pool by a 'refugee'. I think he was ten years old.

Young men are not as a group as vulnerable as young girls. Parse it how you like: it isn't true: and if help is to be shared, it must go to the most vulnerable. I do not believe the people arriving this week are in that group.

WinchesterWoman · 19/10/2016 20:28

The French select the migrants who are eligible. They carry out no medical checks. French and British staff check ages via papers and 'demeanour'. That is it. There are further paper and interview checks when they get to the UK but nobody cares. It doesn't matter. They are in the UK. They will not leave.

Bitofacow · 19/10/2016 20:28

Well the three young men I know who are now living back in Kabul will be pleased to know it's all a dream.

WinchesterWoman · 19/10/2016 20:29

Any talk of using the army to deter migrants or the navy to deter boats will be met with dies of racism. That's why.

WinchesterWoman · 19/10/2016 20:29

cries of racism

WinchesterWoman · 19/10/2016 20:30

Bit if you read the news you will know there are hundreds of thousands of undocumented migrants here; most of them failed asylum seekers. It's pointless saying that because you know three who were put on a plane, all failed asylum seekers are put on a plane. It isn't true. I know it, you know it, everybody knows it.

Bitofacow · 19/10/2016 20:34

I said "probably asylum seekers" I could be wrong. Even if they have ' leave to remain' they probably don't have a spare room because of the bedroom tax.

But I could be wrong, I am not as confident about being right as most other people on this thread.

justgivemeamo · 19/10/2016 20:35

They have a clear vested interest in offloading men onto the UK to process

The Archbishop of York has called for a number of things including love and care to be given to refugees, however he has also said - the schengen zone must stop shunting migrants across its zones - pushing them to Uk where we are seen as a soft touch

WinchesterWoman · 19/10/2016 20:36

Hi Bit, my tone is probably a bit self-righteous I agree. It's good to take a breath sometimes and think, actually that's just unnecessary.

DoinItFine · 19/10/2016 20:36

I am not as confident about being right as most other people on this thread

LOL

"she said revealingly"

WinchesterWoman · 19/10/2016 20:41

Doinit we're all driven by some knowledge, some opinion, some personal experience. We all have gaps.

Bitofacow · 19/10/2016 20:41

As I have said repeatedly I am not an expert. I just know some failed asylum seekers are sent back - I can't talk numbers as I haven't done the research - my evidence is anecdotal. I would like to see your evidence to see how it fits into the wider picture.

I also know some failed asylum seekers disappear. I know some who have disappeared, and silly, lefty, liberal that I am I am not enraged I am heartbroken as I suspect I know what they are doing now.

I hope I am wrong and that is just sentimental bull shit.
