trefoil. It makes me a bit sad that you are now putting yourself down. You're alright and you need to tell yourself that. I'm a big fan of the 'I am enough' mantra (I don't walk around chanting it, but on occasion it helps!)

I'd suggest posting in Relationships. AIBU is brutal. Akin to walking on hot coals followed by an ice bath!

Tre beautiful/fugly, it won't make that much difference to you if you're sad. You sound sad to me, unhappy i mean. I hope you reach out and get some help to work through whatever it is, you deserve it

I'm fat and ugly but I try to focus on my positive attributes. OP, I think gratitude for your looks is ok but not necessarily helpful to boost your self esteem. I'm sure you have something worthy about you.

If she wants to talk and appreciate her looks let her.

I'm worrying what I'll do when mine start to fade. It's a worry! Luckily I'm intelligent too, so all is not lost - phew!

Or perhaps some are just less shallow and focus on other aspects of their person? Just saying.
