Would you go and visit your son, in uni, if they needed stitches?

I'm definitely very protective of him.

Reading the OP and assuming a rugby injury or similar I would say probably not unless he really wanted me to (and would say the same for DD). But given that it was an assault I would be more inclined to go. Not make a big thing of it, just take him out for food and a catch up. To put your mind at rest as much as anything else.

I wouldn't. But we are a bit like that in our family.

My nephew came back from scout camp with stitches, he didn't even mention it until his dad noticed and even then he was, "Oh yeah, I cut myself with a knife..."

I think biscuits or alcohol would be appreciated though.
