Dear daughter 18 is going a club tonight with friends and she showed me her outfit.
i said 'its great, but use some tit tape or you might accidentally breastfeed someone'

there was a brief pause and then my neighbours may of heard a rather loud angry scream.

After a thump up the stairs and loud grumbling daughter returned with out fit adjusted.

She still hates me.

Don't ever feed a baby with a book Question...unless it's a dictionary Grin

LagunaBubbles · 10/09/2016 20:17

Yabu. If peanut matter how direct and blunt your family usually are, obviously thus upset your daughter. It dissent even make sense bringing breastfeeding into it either as she's not breastfeeding.

NoelHeadbands · 10/09/2016 20:20

Peanuts matter.

They matter.

limitedperiodonly · 10/09/2016 20:21

Stealth I'm not an engineer but I maintain that the size, youth and pre/post pregnancy state of the bosoms are all variables that must be considered when deciding whether tit tape or a hammock is needed.

Will you be coming down south for the London meet up btw? I think it's Nov 19.

QuestionableMouse · 10/09/2016 22:31

Books?! FFS auto correct!

Pseudonym99 · 10/09/2016 22:34

Should have? Maybe. Should of? Don't know what you mean

acasualobserver · 10/09/2016 23:25

I don't think anyone's pointed that out yet.

DelicatePreciousThing1 · 10/09/2016 23:27

Haha. No wonder. It's in the flaming title.

DelicatePreciousThing1 · 10/09/2016 23:29

Why would anyone want to hide nipples? They are pretty. The gutter press do, of course, which is the ultimate irony.

Masketti · 10/09/2016 23:52

Sense of humour failure by some. Piss funny to me! I can see why you might need to use that language to get your point across and she listened so job done yeah?

JellyPlum · 11/09/2016 00:08

I wouldn't describe nipples as pretty. They aren't ugly either, they're just nipples.

mygorgeousmilo · 11/09/2016 00:15

HAVE not of. Should have! Not should of. YABU vulgar way to speak to your daughter. I'm no prude, but that was way too coarse

PepsiPenguin · 11/09/2016 00:44

If your going to question the OP's grammar which is pretty low IMO

Maybe correct her actual wording...

She said "may of"

lordStrange · 11/09/2016 00:53

I think it was funny. Unfortunately the dd didn't. It happens.

Madeupforthis · 11/09/2016 01:06

Oh. The irony of this thread title.

SleepDeprivedAndCranky · 11/09/2016 01:09

That's a weird thing to say Confused

LagunaBubbles · 11/09/2016 07:52

I have no idea how auto correct changed "doesn't" to peanut! Grin

Hadjab · 11/09/2016 07:58

YANBU
That was funny!

ethelb · 11/09/2016 08:00

If you're going to question. YOU'RE. Not YOUR

notthebees · 11/09/2016 09:08

9 pages of sneering at grammar. Horrible.

Pardonwhat · 11/09/2016 09:09

Hahaha I think your comment was funny. Surprised most people on here don't seem to be able to joke with their adult daughters.

It was my small attempt at humour late at night, I love thinking of the "it's you're not your" posters sitting at home with steam coming out of their ears.

But agree with notthrbees 9 pages worth of complaining, nobody I know types on a phone the same way they would on a letter Hmm so yes we get it your all very clever well done gold stars for you all.

If you really want to complain for nine pages about grammar then please run along to the pedant corner, do not forget to shine those grammar halos! - it's starting to ruin a lot of discussions, seriously one comment on it is enough.
