My birthday that is!!! It is today! We are on a holiday with the kids and I understand that it's normal to completely detach from reality, forget what day/ date is etc.
I'm not known to be big on birthdays or to celebrate them properly but I like to be acknowledged. Aibu to be pissed off? Shall I just let it go and remind him tomorrow? He's completely clueless. What would you do?

Happy birthday!

I'd buy myself a big present and tell him why.

Happy birthday purple. Hope you have a lovely day and that DH and the kids get you something nice.

Oops, didn't look at the timeline. Happy belated birthday and do come back in and tell us what he got you.

Makes me giggle...why be subtle if you want him to remember?! I would remind him, as in REMEMBER it's my birthday next week/whilst we are away?!! (if I didn't either him or the kids may forget and I would be upset) I don't expect much but I do like a card and for it to be remembered. (lying through her teeth...but I don't usually get much from DH as he is clueless as to what to get unless it's a man type present...ie:technology/technical sport clothing etc. I usually end up getting something for myself ...not v romantic I know.

Mind you, we were talking with YD and boyfriend the other day and reminising as they had just been away..and I was saying how much it had changed probably since we had gone, and trying to remember when we went....when DH said..."19861"
"How do you know for sure?" I said...then realised we went there on our honeymoon when we got married! Oops!
