On Facebook (I know, I know) but what the fuck happened to originality?

How come everyone going to a wedding these days are on their way to "The wedding of the year"?

Why, all of a sudden are all children/husbands/nans/cats "my world" and why do we suddenly "love them the world"? That doesn't even make fucking sense!

If I see another photo of a gang of lasses is Ibiza captioned "Love my girls xoxo" then I WILL resign from the Internet. I do enjoy that the photo is usually really flattering of the poster and often minging portrayals of the "girls".

Felt good to get that off my chest. Thanks.

How about
#Ijustdontgiveashitaboutyourendlessneedforattention.

#youknowyourlifeisjustordinaryright?

Ladybird08 · 31/08/2016 16:00

Profile name that includes "loves her kids".
E.g: First name "loves her kids" surname.

That plus the share if you love your kids posts.

hefzi · 31/08/2016 16:11

Dylan "Marxist -Leninist semaphore convention" Grin Just brilliant!

IggyPopsicle · 31/08/2016 16:13

I know someone who hashtags her DC's full names with every single photo of them.
#MyKidsAreMyWorld

#AngelicaRosemaryFartwell-Knowles #TristramBalonzFartwell-Knowles

purplefox · 31/08/2016 16:13

Profile name that includes "loves her kids".

And.. First name "DCs mummy" surname

apigcalledwanda · 31/08/2016 16:23

Other serious offenders:

Profiles with the summary line that says "You either love me or hate me". Yeppppp, chances are high that you, my friend are an absolute dick.

Or anyone that shares that "if you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best" meme.
Yep, you're a turd

OP posts:
thatslow · 31/08/2016 16:46

Here's another type of offender.

A photo taken of newly painted "claws" in front of the Audi steering wheel. Firstly it's nails. Secondly, you're not showing off your "claws", you're showing off the Audi.

IggyPopsicle · 31/08/2016 16:53

Food photos are another one. #NomNom #FoodHeaven #SooHungry

It's a Bid Mac, love. Hardly the last supper.

IggyPopsicle · 31/08/2016 16:53

*Big Mac

ample · 31/08/2016 17:26

Hardly the last supper Grin

FeliciaJollygoodfellow · 31/08/2016 17:46

It's 'addicting' I can't stand.

Is addictive not a word now? Confused

GoofyIsACow · 31/08/2016 18:21

Beautiful inside and out
Love her to the moon and back

Fuck. Off.

BrianCoxReborn · 31/08/2016 18:34

I'd just like to prepare you all for the next fad.

These fads come from the teens usually don't they.

The latest teen-fad I am seeing, which will be rolled out amongst sad gits who are old enough to know better, is....

Crossing out your face in a really humble way, because you're so not worth looking at.

#givemecomplimentsbiatches

To hate these fad phrases!
Bloopbleep · 31/08/2016 18:48

That's a 'sick tune' or that's a 'sick move' and it's meant to be a good thing.

Girlie nights out /in piss me off- particularly coming from 50/60year old professional women

GooseFriend · 31/08/2016 18:57

Crossing out your face to make people look at your face...

Do you put #notblessed after that?

FaintlyHopeful · 31/08/2016 19:19

#proudmama. Puke

WhooooAmI24601 · 31/08/2016 19:24

Hah I came on to say about the healthy food with fifty thousand hashtags that my other sister does #eatclean #veganshite #pretentious #probablyjusthadfuckingKFC #sadness

And today I've seen a #makingmemories at the end of a post on there. Next time I take a shit I'm going to hashtag myself as making memories, because technically everything I do is making memories and, frankly, it's about as glorious as that picture of your kids on a beach looking sad.

BrianCoxReborn · 31/08/2016 19:25

I've no idea Goosed, I did ask DD and she said "you're just too old to understand" Hmm

That pic was about #50, several angles of which most were unflattering, extra lighting, ton of make-up....all to do a "natural" selfie. I don't actually look like that, it was weird seeing it and comparing my usual baggy-eyed, saggy jowled self Grin I think it was for a similar thread on MN, could have been FB though.

DownWithThisSortaThing · 31/08/2016 19:38

Hashtags in general irritate me and I have no idea why people use them the way they do. Especially when they use loads, like a picture of their children and the caption is:
Sibling love #siblinglove #siblings #sisters #brothers #brothersandsisters #cute #kids #family #familylove #angels #superstars #love #friends #forever #eyes #smile #teeth #face #hair #happy #lovinglife #proudmum #mybabies #lovemybabies

Yeah we fucking get it. Now #FUCK #OFF

My other favourite is a few women I know who post pictures/statuses about bad eyebrows, or how anyone without HD brows looks awful. And brag about their own 'natural looking' eyebrows. The funniest thing is this that they themselves have the worst, badly drawn, weird shaped, liquid eyeliner eyebrows I've ever seen Grin

MuffyTheUmpireSlayer · 31/08/2016 19:43

I'm so used to seeing most of these that I barely even notice them anymore. What really irritates me is hashtagging every word in a sentence.

#New #hair #love #it #thank #you @hairdresser #you #smashed #it #DM #me #for #her #contact #info.

Not only are you a hashtag using git, you don't even know how to hashtag properly.

GabsAlot · 31/08/2016 19:49

i know someone who cant even hashtag properly even though they use twitter

they use one at the end of a word lol

gonetoseeamanaboutadog · 31/08/2016 19:58

But what is a hashtag even for? I clicked on one the other day and it didn't even go anywhere.

My personal hatred is for photographs of a mum surrounded by husband and children with a caption like 'so thankful for these people' or 'proud mama' and the picture just happens to be extraordinarily flattering to the mum and no one else. It's transparent. and I have done it before realising how transparent it is

DownWithThisSortaThing · 31/08/2016 19:59

Oh and annoying outright boasting!
'Omg I'm soooo tired from carrying all my shopping round town today #newclothes #retailtherapy'

TheWitTank · 31/08/2016 20:01

I hate when people describe clothing/lipstick/shoes as being 'a pop of colour' -as in, 'slick on this fuschia lip tint for a pop of colour'. Used by every amateur blogger and crappy magazine journo. HATE IT.

Advicepls7080 · 31/08/2016 20:03

My friend and I do love her but she (her dad) has more money than sense and uploads a #ootd (outfit of the day) then #givenchy #sophiawebster #tomford #stellamccartney basically hashtags her entire outfit including her underwear with #fashionista

Although I do enjoy looking at the #ootd hashtag because some are friggin hysterical they look like the baby dressed them
