On Facebook (I know, I know) but what the fuck happened to originality?

How come everyone going to a wedding these days are on their way to "The wedding of the year"?

Why, all of a sudden are all children/husbands/nans/cats "my world" and why do we suddenly "love them the world"? That doesn't even make fucking sense!

If I see another photo of a gang of lasses is Ibiza captioned "Love my girls xoxo" then I WILL resign from the Internet. I do enjoy that the photo is usually really flattering of the poster and often minging portrayals of the "girls".

Felt good to get that off my chest. Thanks.

Someone on mine keeps posting #makingmemories with pictures of her entire family looking as miserable as shit. Guess she didn't say they were 'happy' memories?

purplefox · 31/08/2016 13:39

My world - seriously if your whole world depends on one person you need to get a grip.

"Tho" - as in "that pizza tho..", though fucking what?

Nabootique · 31/08/2016 13:40

Urgh, just remembered there's someone on my FB who uses the hashtag "#XXXXadventures" with child's name. I don't really understand it. Their child has their own hashtag? Do other people with a child of this name also use it and then search for other children with the same name to see what they're up to?

Wishimaywishimight · 31/08/2016 13:40

This is an old one but has always bugged me - "happy out" - what's the "out" bit all about? Why not just "happy"???

cjt110 · 31/08/2016 13:40

YY to feeling old at 30. I turn 30 this year and I'm sure I am a million miles away from todays "yoofs"

SmellOfPythonInTheMorning · 31/08/2016 13:42

"Game changing". Ok, it's a corporate/PR phrase more than a FB one, but still: aaaargh!

fruitboxjury · 31/08/2016 13:44

#smugface, feeling smug... Usually posted with some self indulgent crap, ooo look at the beautiful tree over there - aren't I in a beautiful place (whilst standing here in a two piece tiny bikini which I really wouldn't want you to look at, no definitely not). Meaning, I'm proud to be better than you and if I say it first you can't tell me I'm smug. This gives me RAGE. A friend of mine does this all the time, smug is nothing but ugly, since when did it become something to aspire to. She is smug, and her smugness is ugly if that helps.

#blessed. Please fuck off. If you want to be blessed go to church, otherwise #gloating would be more appropriate.

"Being kind to myself" = usually being either self indulgent or selfish

wowowowow · 31/08/2016 13:44

Why can nobody post a photograph on Facebook without being told they are "gorg/stunning/hot" (and variations of spelling) etc.

Do we have to tell lies?

Advicepls7080 · 31/08/2016 13:46

Oh I've just been reminded of 'to me from me xxxx' usually a picture of something they definitely cannot afford

formerbabe · 31/08/2016 13:46

I hate...on point and on fleek....wtf!

If you hate the huns.... let me introduce you to the fact I've seen mums on social media refer to their DDS as 'prinny'...short for speshul pwincess I'm guessing.... vom vom vom!

Gorg just makes me think of fraggle rock...

One day I will reply with a picture of Ma Gorg and a #gorg hashtag

IggyPopsicle · 31/08/2016 13:48

#CheekyGlassOfWine- Accompanied by a photo of their glass of wine.

FFS, if you are over the age of 18, you are legally allowed to imbibe in alcohol. There is nothing "cheeky" about it. Even if it is, shock horror, a #SchoolNight.

Bloopbleep · 31/08/2016 13:49

I have some late teens on fb for a course thing who refer to their female friends as their "bitchez" and we let these people vote.

Worse tho are grown adults using "totes" "emosh" and "amazeballs " (all these years later) with no hints of irony

And the thing I see on here "YY" that can fuck off too!

Nabootique · 31/08/2016 13:51

Yes PrivatePike! They are normally the sort to overuse the word "cheeky" just like that, which I hate too.

Iggy they'll be having it with "this one", no doubt.

KERALA1 · 31/08/2016 13:52

What annoys me is the word "support". Used all the time by companies and well meaning do gooders. What does it even mean? Has anyone else noticed this?

Babystarlight · 31/08/2016 13:55

Ugh, Yanbu.

EttaJ · 31/08/2016 13:55

It's a relief to read others thoughts on said new phenomena ! There's so many. Squad from anyone over 15 is unacceptable. Best nite Eva but so was last weekend as will next weekend be.

Grown women in their posting a photo all made up and captioning it

"'Not sure about this one" well you clearly are or you wouldn't have posted it for all to see. You're gawjus Hun, blah blah.

Tongues out , duckface, hand over the face, fingers on lips, no make up selfie when clearly photoshopped to death.

This new app that eradicates wrinkles to the point of being ridiculous.i have Botox so my photos look like like I use said app it but meet me in real life and I look the same as the photos of me. I see some friends and think why?!!

Selfies in TOILETS?! Forgetting loads.

formerbabe · 31/08/2016 13:55

One day I will reply with a picture of Ma Gorg and a #gorg hashtag

You've got it all wrong... it's spelt "gawj"! Wink

longdiling · 31/08/2016 13:57

I take your 'gorg' and raise you a deliberately misspelt 'gawjus'. Makes me grimace. 'super' being used all the time lately is also annoying me 'super happy' 'super proud' etc etc.

longdiling · 31/08/2016 13:57

Ha. Super funny cross post there hun

Mumzypopz · 31/08/2016 13:58

Hate "Is", instead if "I am", such as "Is at home having date night with my man"😭

cjt110 · 31/08/2016 14:00

I just googled "On fleek" It still makes no sense and I looked at the UrbanDictionary!

pictish · 31/08/2016 14:01

Bloodydifficult - to love the bones of someone is an old saying that's been around for a very long time. My granny used to say it and now so do I. I think it's pretty clear what it means but just to explain, it means you love someone fundamentally, unconditionally and to their very core.

My personal bugbear is 'blessed'. I don't quite know why I dislike it so much. It's possibly the smugness.

formerbabe · 31/08/2016 14:01

Ha. Super funny cross post there hun

Lolzz...ur comment was on point hunni
