On Facebook (I know, I know) but what the fuck happened to originality?

How come everyone going to a wedding these days are on their way to "The wedding of the year"?

Why, all of a sudden are all children/husbands/nans/cats "my world" and why do we suddenly "love them the world"? That doesn't even make fucking sense!

If I see another photo of a gang of lasses is Ibiza captioned "Love my girls xoxo" then I WILL resign from the Internet. I do enjoy that the photo is usually really flattering of the poster and often minging portrayals of the "girls".

Felt good to get that off my chest. Thanks.

Someone on my Facebook always posts #roadtrip #lovemylife if she goes to a different town or city involving staying over. She may only be staying at her mate's or in a travelodge but she makes it sound like she's doing Route 66.

Grr.

GuiltyPleasure · 01/09/2016 00:37

#nomnom after any food related posting, although food related postings in general are shit anyway. #woopwoop in response to any announcement or supposed fun activity. Any "share if you love" posting & any meme in general, but especially those featuring a minion

NewBallsPlease00 · 01/09/2016 00:43

A hashtag will link so you can click and see all other tags, brands are often tagged for traffic/followers and ultimately cash- kardashians get something like £150k per Instagram post- yep 10 odd a day and you see were the millions come from, it's basically the new advertising

venusinscorpio · 01/09/2016 00:46

#yolo

So don't waste it hashtagging all your photos on social media then.

WomanFromAnotherPlace · 01/09/2016 00:51

I have seen a couple:
"Love my lil bubble", accompanied by a picture of their family.

"Happy FriYay!".

Both make me never want to talk to these people again

Journey, as in why does everything someone does become a fucking journey?

My DD doesn't have Facebook but some of her friends do. A few of them have added me (no idea why!). I set them to Restricted, I add them because it seemed rude not to I know I'm a slave to social media On the odd occasion I've gone to see how they're doing (they went to different high school to DD, it's nice to see how they are) I'm entertained for much longer than I should be by the interactions of the yoofs.

[Picture of Tiffany]
Tiffany Smith: Learn to dance in the rain. Mains tagged, sorry if I've missed anyone.

Courtney Jones: Them eyes though 😍😍😘💑💙
Tiffany Smith: Have you seen you though? 💙💑😘😍😄💏🙌
Tia Maria: Gorge babe
Tiffany Smith: err what about you, stunning babe.

And on and on and on it goes.

I'm so old.

MyPeriodFeatures · 01/09/2016 01:05

Nom nom. A picture of someone's focaccia and fucking sprout salad. It's not. You fucking hate it and want a burger.

Bored,com tired.com. Twat.com

Seriously, why???? I have very few offenders but the offensive ones really are....

These are adults, with careers and stuff too.

Who says Nom Nom ffs. I

IggyPopsicle · 01/09/2016 01:33

Who says Nom Nom ffs.

If anyone said that whilst eating at my table, I'd tell them to shut up. Can't be doing with pornographic food appreciation noises. I know someone who eats like this, especially with cake. A tiny slice of Battenburg, and its like Harry Met Sally.

She is otherwise a lovely friend..when she isn't orgasming at the ruddy dinner table.

WomanFromAnotherPlace · 01/09/2016 01:40

MyPeriodFeatures Yes! I'm not offended easily but Bored.com/Twat.com are really fucking rude!
Oh, and I absolutely HATE 'Bore off'

I'm old too and so many of these wind me up, most of them are just about acceptable when said by under 18s but ridiculous coming from middle aged women (sorry but it mainly is).

Bloggers annoy me too, they're aiming to make money out of writing yet not only are their posts full of inaccuracies (x one me over, here's a sneak peak) but they use all this lazy trend speak as well - the latest one to annoy me is 'Floral midi dress. You're up' like the clothes are a sodding X-Factor contestant Angry.

Wellthatsit · 01/09/2016 08:14

I think hash tags are used a bit like footnotes (go to the hash tag to get clarification of what I am thinking). It's not what they were designed for, but it sort of works.

DadOnIce · 01/09/2016 14:55

BrianCoxReborn that is spot on! Teenage DD and her friends go on like that on Facebook all the time.

At least they have stopped that stupid habit of giving themselves the fake surnames of the pop stars they fancy, or middle names which reflect this, e.g.

Lucy HarryStylesIsGorge Smith
Katie Jones Bieber
etc.

That was just embarrassing.

x2boys · 01/09/2016 21:32
