To think the USA has to choose between two awful candidates

I am just amazed at how U.S. politics has ended up. We have a woman who steals nomination, lies, does speeches to Goldman Sachs then doesn't release them to the public and let's an ambassador die from her incompetence.

On the other side we have an ego maniac who treats people like dirt, attacks every minority under the sun and can't be trusted with the button.

If I was an American I would be ashamed of my country and how much of a joke it is. The amount of money in politics over there is a joke. I am glad we have PM May.

But in all honesty I think Trump is going to win. I have the gut feeling and I've predicted every election/referendum since John major. I predicted EU ref result as well. It scares me I hope I'm wrong, but then I don't like Hillary.

It's just got me scared he's going to win. I can just tell. She is really disliked every single one of my American friends and my family feel the same. They won't vote for her, I say trump and they don't want him, but it's less negative then when they talk about Hillary.

Yeah the US is pretty terrifying atm. Even if Trump loses, openly racist and fascist attitudes have been moved into mainstream discourse.

It's a bit besides the point, but I don't get why people reckon that Hilary should release that random GS speech. Public figures make speeches in private all the time, anyone's allowed to make a speech in private, why on earth should she release the transcript?

Just to set the record straight: that ambassador didn't die due to her incompetence, and there isn't evidence to support her "stealing" the nomination. Both are right wing fabrications.
While I'm not a particular fan of either, a Trump presidency scares me for my home country (USA) as well as my adopted UK home. His tirade of hate and his incompetence will effect us here, no doubt.
As far as Hillary goes, she's very qualified for the job, and she has been a catalyst for positive change in the USA both in her role as First Lady and as Secretary of State. Oddly enough, most mainstream media isn't making a big deal of the positives.
I'd like to think that maybe the media isn't portraying Trump in a positive light, either, however I suspect that perhaps there aren't many positives...Confused

Obviously, here in the UK, we are all like 'hahaha Trump!', but it dawned on me just the other day that the only alternative would be Hillary 'Hawk' Clinton. Would hate to make that decision. I couldn't vote for either but then, where does that leave you?

At least in the US it's a binary choice. You can vote against the worst candidate.
So whilst Hillary may not be a shining beacon of righteousness, she is at least in control of her mental faculties.

I'm an American Brit and I'm not at all ashamed of Hillary - I'm pretty impressed with what she's done so far, with her policies and her positions.

Both awful. America has a terrible choice to make. Either will be a bloody disaster!
It's just a result of the American public being so very pissed off with the establishment and being desperate for something , anything, different.

Either will be a disaster formAmericans but Trump will be a disaster for the hole world. I have a horrible feeling that he could win too.

Yes, we can vote for the Libertarian or Green Party candidates for President, as well as other no hopers.
Hillary is morally corrupt, and did pay to play as Secretary of State. Her email mess has never been resolved, and dozens of people who tried to stop her evil machinations are dead. Look up Vince Foster, for example.
Trump isn't great, but I'm a registered Republican. I will vote for him.

In return, I do think Nigel Farage has some great ideas.

No difference whatsoever to the ineffective pair of wankers we have had to endure here. It's only your opinion that May has any creditably. After that sycophantic coward Cameron resigned. She's not done anything yet. Or do you just decide you support a party regardless.of policy?

Non of my American friends or relations some very right wing would entertain voting for Trump.

Besides if he does get elected he will need to sort that fucking awful oit. He's a laughing stoCk for that alone.

I think a combination of very poor media, misogyny and stupidity is responsible for a lot of the negative feelings about her.

Trump is bombing in polls by the day. I've been in the US for the last month and every 2-3 days the news is full of some other stupid shit he has done. This week he has been on a campaign to get more support from black voters. He has upset them about 5 different times whilst doing this. The polls yesterday were showing he has 5% support from them.

Clinton is not a great choice but not everything you said is true as a pp mentioned. There are a lot of lies and exaggerations flying around right now about her. She however doesn't need to smear trump he is doing it himself. Even his campaign supporters are jumping ship right now.
