To wonder why some people are ignored on MN

Some people always seem to be inadvertent thread killers don't they?
What makes people ignore others on MN? Surely somebody who is always ignored (I'm not one of them, I'm sometimes replied to, sometimes not) is not always at fault?

Or is MN just a place for us to spout our views and not listen to the views of others? I'm often never guilty of this of course

I never look at the username unless they address me specifically, that's how I'm blissfully unaware of royalty and cliques. I've probably argued with someone on one thread and agreed with them on another.

I'm nosey I like to see who else is posting.

I do look at usernames. Simply because so many are funny and clever. Also like spotting people I "know" on threads. It makes me smile.

I mistrust all the new Poster123456789 posters. I like to see a name. Any name! Even if it's a new member or a recent name change.

Oh no I have numbers in my name!

Laiste - all those user123456789 names are given to new registrants now, and then they have to namechange - some don't. I don't mistrust them all, but I can't be arsed to learn the different numbers, that's for sure, so I just lump them all together as one! Which could get upsetting, as some of them aren't as nice as others.

I've said this on every thread where this has been mentioned. I can't change my name (the system won't let me!) and repeated threads and emails asking for help have not been answered. I'm not untrustworthy!

Today I was told I "hate all threads".

Being ignored might be preferable to people thinking it's open season to have a go and make shitty assumptions.
