To think this behaviour is unacceptable?

I'm an ordinary person, who likes most things, but AIBU to think that smooth peanut butter is just wrong and the people who eat it surely come from a different planet, even to men? I think they must definitely come from Uranus. It is just unacceptable behaviour from a "so say" (using fingers to emphasise the " ") human being to like such a thing. What are your thoughts?

Smooth is the best, with jam on bread. I had that at work yesterday. Perfect lunch.

YANBU, OP. Smooth peanut butter is the stuff that gives people the fear of it sticking to the roof of your mouth (arachibutyrophobia).

Crunchy peanut butter with nutella on toast: double hit of nutty goodness.

Add cream cheese to that marmite and (crunchy) peanut butter toast MadamDeathstare and you have a true food of the Gods.

If I want to crunch a peanut, I buy peanuts. Peanut butter should always be smooth. Like butter. Butter is smooth. I'd be furious if there were crunchy lumps in my lurpak.

YANBU. Smooth peanut butter tastes really bad. It should taste like the crunchy stuff but smoother. but no, it just tastes off.

I think people who like smooth peanut butther must also hate OJ with bits and other textured stuff.

DD moved from crunchy to smooth when she got her braces. When she had them off, the first thing she asked for was crunchy peanut butter and a whole apple

viper I can cope with the idea of having theoretical strawberry jam on my nice cheese sandwich. I don't really like jam but neither do I dislike it, so I am gracious enough to accept that others enjoy jam. But even theoretical peanut butter is not allowed to corrupt my food, it is just wrong on every level and not to be tolerated!

Peanut butter is vile and even worse - someone thought fit to put it into mini Magnums!

Totally agree OP, peanut butter has to be crunchy. I eat it straight from the jar, who needs toast?

All peanut butter is unreasonable.

I like ALL peanut butter. I like going on holiday to America because there are so many peanut butter flavoured things to choose from out there, they are obsessed with it, even peanut butter snickers. But the one peanut butter I cannot abide is "Jiffy" peanut butter, the creamy one. It is actually more like icing than anything else, with a very slight peanut flavour. Grim.

Sunpat crunchy is my peanut butter of choice. Just the right amount of salt.

If I had to chose one dish only to eat for the whole of the rest of my life it would be crunchy peanut butter on crisp toast. I adore it. I can eat spoonfuls whilst waiting for the toast to do.

Sadly I cannot keep it in the house due to this addiction .

Marmite is a very good alternative and also nice with crushed banana on toast.

What does that mean?

When I was a kid crunchy peanut butter on crackerbread was a lunch from the gods. Utterly awesome. I just have it on toast now. Still fab.

It depends on whether or there is palm oil lurking in the jar. Meridian has none, and the smooth version is the food of the gods. The crunchy is ok, but just ok. The Whole Earth version I have found has palm oil (I think they do have one without), and the smooth version is a sticky cloying gag inducing paste. It needs crunch to make it even remotely palatable. As for SunPat smooth, urghhhhhh.
