Dh has had the snip 6 years ago. I am 10 days late.

Ok I am never late.

I know I'm not pregnant.

I am 6 days late for my period. I felt sick this morning.

DH had a vas 7 years ago.

He doesn't keep asking me if I'm pregnant, he is convincing me that I'm not!

I fell pregnant on the pill and with the IUD in place.. what are the chances of it happening again?

Two separate occasions.. I didn't have the IUD and take the pill at the same time!

trills yup. I don't think Mary remained a virgin after she married Joseph. IIRC she and Joseph actually married when Jesus was conceived. Hence the "explaination" from the powers that be.

To be honest the in me always thought that Mary and Joseph got carried away with a bit of "how's your father?" behind the camel shed and when Mary's Dad got mad she was all like "I didn't do anything Pops, it was God!"

Which also explains why Joseph married a pregnant woman, because he was the one who got her that way and felt guilty.

Makes perfect sense. I tried it on my Dad once but he was having none of it so fair play to Mary for pulling it off.

You've got to wonder why Mary and Joseph didn't get married as soon as she found out she was pregnant. Could have fudged the dates slightly and none would be any the wiser.

Catholic doctrine is that Mary DID remain a virgin, even after marrying Joseph.

Biblical mention of Jesus's brothers is explained, IIRC, by saying that the original Greek word used could mean either 'brother' or 'cousin'.

Iirc, Joseph wasn't going to marry Mary when he found out she was pg, but someone (probably Gabriel) went to see him and put him straight, told him she was Special and bearing the Son of God and was still pure, so suck it up old man and marry her and be nice.

The Catholic Church does indeed believe in Mary's perpetual virginity. I think this was one of the beliefs called into question during the Reformation.

Not according to RC teachings. But then RC teachings include baptism to get rid of the sin of Adam whilst also saying Adam didn't exist.

Also ladies this is why periods are sometimes called 'the curse' as in the curse of Eve - yep we are all being punished every month for a mythical woman handing an apple to a bloke.

Oh and just to add to the debate, it is possible to give birth and still have an intact hymen.
