Original sin is the sin inherent in all humans before they have even had a chance to do anything wrong. (all humans except Mary - she was conceived without it.) It is not one sin in particular - e.g. disobedience - it is an inherent sinfulness of the person.

This is why babies must be baptised quickly if they look like they might die, to be forgiven and received into heaven, or otherwise they might go to hell or limbo.
