there seems to be a trend on here sometimes for some people to follow the 'popular choice' on subjects that might be controversial, some will stick their heads over the parapet and risk getting flamed but most will stick to the 'right' choice. i bet there are posters on here today who voted to leave, saw the slagging off and decided to declare themselves as remain.
just a thought - ready for my hair singeing ! Smile

'I voted remain, and so did virtually all of the people I know'

That's what they told you.

I voted remain. I only know one person who voted to leave and that was a misguided attempt at 'saving the nhs'

I really hope MN can go back to normal now and all the Brexit-Bots and new members flooding in from the Daily Mail will FOTTFSOF

I voted remain. I'm disappointed and a little worried about the result, most especially for my son's future, but c'est la vie. We will just have to make the best of whatever happens. Worrying and fretting about it isn't going to change anything.
DH voted leave .

I did, and I think that most of my friends and colleagues did too. I'm in Edinburgh though, so that's probably true.

The next generation has just lost the right to live and work in 27 other countries. In terms of loss of opportunites and experiances, that's a pretty poor legacy to hand down to them

100% this. I feel so sad for my DS today. He voted remain as did all of his friends and colleagues. I'm worried now - everything they've ever known has been whipped away. Sad day.

A remainer here too. I didn't realise I had such strong feelings on it but I felt very sick this morning. I suspect some exiters did too when they realised it was a reality.

Remain voters here. Very upset by the result. But I agree that we tend to flock to other likeminded people, in RL and online, so not surprising that so many on MN and my other social media are equally upset.

Remain. I'm disappointed in my city too. I would say 80% of people I have spoken to have (apparently) been remain.

I was unsure which way to vote and uncomfortable with that uncertainty because I normally have strong views. In the end I came down in the remain camp and my reaction to today's result made me realise that deep down I had been much more for remain than I thoughtSad. DH voted remain. My sister and my father both voted leave which is unsurprising - we are always politically opposed. My mother...not sure. I suspect remain.

I wasn't going to, but then changed my mind a few weeks ago and voted Remain yesterday.

Move on if you don't like the results move out.
Really simple

---

Move where??
Is it really that simple to do so???
I don't think so somehow.

No I'll be very British about it. I'll complain for now whilst getting over the initial shock, and then like most people we will queue up with our cups of tea and try to salvage what's left.

I voted remain. Will vote yes if there is another Scottish referendum on independence.

I voted remain. I don't have a degree and live in a deprived area so don't find it with the stereotype but I found out as much info as I could and decided it was the right decision on balance.

Most people I know voted leave afaik.

Most that voted leave (that I know) did it because they really believe the country is going to just close it's borders. It's quite sad.
