there seems to be a trend on here sometimes for some people to follow the 'popular choice' on subjects that might be controversial, some will stick their heads over the parapet and risk getting flamed but most will stick to the 'right' choice. i bet there are posters on here today who voted to leave, saw the slagging off and decided to declare themselves as remain.
just a thought - ready for my hair singeing ! Smile

I voted remain, so did my DP, so did almost everyone in my team of 30 or so at work. We all stuffed our faces with consolation pastries this morning...

SauvignonBlanche · 24/06/2016 20:47

I voted Remain, as did DH and DS. Sad 🇪🇺

YellowPrimula · 24/06/2016 20:51

Voted remain as did Dh and two DC

OptimisticSix · 24/06/2016 20:54

Remain. So disappointed, unfortunately I genuinely feel my children will be much worse off as a result of leaving the EU Sad

derxa · 24/06/2016 21:04

This referendum should never have taken place. Our European critics are right in stating that this was fuelled by political infighting and mis-information on all sides.
Exactly

IndianaJone · 24/06/2016 22:38

I agree too. We should never ha e had this election. We elect the people qualified to make decisions at this level. David Cameron was an idiot to call this.

suit2845321oie · 24/06/2016 22:46

I voted remain. I don't know anyone who voted to leave and it seems that neither did my wider network

ShowChin · 24/06/2016 23:00

I voted remain as did dh, dps and ds.
I was proud to live in the north of England - now I'm ashamed to live in an area where 66% voted leave.
Went out today and felt so isolated in my home town.

lordStrange · 24/06/2016 23:03

I voted Remain, as did literally all my friends, FB folk. Didn't see this result coming...

lordStrange · 24/06/2016 23:04

I agree that Cameron was a fool to promise this referendum. The master of his own downfall.

GoringBit · 24/06/2016 23:28

out of all the eligible voters aged 18-24 only 25% bothered to vote. 75% (approximately 18.25%) of voters did vote remain.

Shock

I really think we need to make voting compulsory, albeit with a 'none of the above' option in ballot papers.

IndianaJone · 24/06/2016 23:29

I saw this coming unfortunately...over half of my area was brexit. The rubbish I've heard is shocking and sad. We are going back into the dark ages with hearts filled with intolerance and hate. Unsettling times.

mumstaxi2 · 24/06/2016 23:43

I voted remain as did my husband and my oldest DS (18) This morning my DS who is usually pretty laid back and non political was really angry - this evening he said he'd felt like a cloud was hanging over him all day. My FIL (82) who my DS adores and generally respects voted leave - we've sugested they don't discuss it when he comes to visit on Sunday.

ColinFirthsGirth · 24/06/2016 23:45

I voted Remain as did my husband

midsomermurderess · 24/06/2016 23:45

I did, without a moments hesitation or doubt and am happy to say so.

HappydaysArehere · 25/06/2016 08:47

We are stuck with it. Ignorance, lies and wishful thinking have won the day!
Let us not consolidate it with Boris Johnson as the negotiator. Theresa May might be a reasonable candidate.

If I was young I would emigrate.

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 25/06/2016 09:06

Happydays we are making plans to leave with our 2 young children (2.5 and 11 months). We've spent time living in various cities across Europe before having children (thanks to 'free movement of people') and frankly, GB is no longer a place we want to be. I don't want my children growing up here. I strongly feel that Britain is a worse place following yesterday's result.

Costacoffeeplease · 25/06/2016 09:14

I am already in an eu country, have been for 13 years. I may just apply for nationality

HappydaysArehere · 25/06/2016 09:17

WorldsBiggest be very, very happy with your young family. Good luck to you all and God bless.

Tinklewinkle · 25/06/2016 09:23

DH and I were both remain

I agree with the pps that we should never have had this referendum. It's too big a decision, too many consequences and too far reaching for the general public to decide.

maisiejones · 25/06/2016 14:48

Pootles2010. What a hideously arrogant post!

jellybeans · 25/06/2016 14:52

I voted remain and was never in any doubt about it.

HighDataUsage · 25/06/2016 15:13

I voted remain as did my dh and just one neighbour from my street, everybody else voted out. Interestingly, my neighbours who voted out were mainly wc manual workers whilst me, dh & neighbour who voted remain are professional & university educated. This observation ties in with what someone mentioned up thread.

allyjay · 25/06/2016 15:21

I voted remain as did my DP, my DD, my DM, my DF, my Dsis and both my Dbros. Suspect most of DP's family did too as they are Scottish.

CaptainHammer · 25/06/2016 15:34

I, my DH, mum, brother, grandparents and the majority of my friends voted remain (the friends that didn't vote remain didn't vote at all).
