to have gotten matching head tattoos with DH?

DH and I, are definitely on the quirky side. We both got tattoos on our heads. Very similar, but mine is the female version and his is the male version. My mum never knew I was getting it done, tbh at 29 I wouldn't have said I needed her approval. I have my MIL blaming me and claiming that I have influenced her son into it. Friends claim that it looks ridiculous! All I want to know is WIBU? Surely as family and friends you don't have to just be damn right spiteful about a choice I have made, I mean it isn't illegal/hurting anyone. Grrr.

Why can't you have a tattoo if you claim benefits? Do you include tax credits in that? Winter fuel allowance?

OurBlanche · 23/06/2016 16:10

Get off your high horse But I didn't pass any judgement, just rephrased your own comment about your ink style! I haven't been negative... just pointed out that you are going to have to deal with comments from people who don't agree with you. You may think it is poor form to comment on someone's body art but there are many people who won't think twice.

You shouldn't give one shiny shite about those opinions. They are part and parcel of visible inking. Get a grip...

I got two while I was on income support.

I got my last two when I was on tax credits.

And you can be a blood donor, you just have to wait four months.

OurBlanche · 23/06/2016 16:34

I was about to venture back to say that, U2. You definitely can give blood... after a 4 month wait.

Local Ink Man has that info in his FAQs. He also includes guidance on ink placement and the DHS, employers etc.

BeyondTellingEveryoneRealFacts · 23/06/2016 16:35

I'm on ESA for the very long forseable future. Am i not allowed tattoos?

Is it okay if i dont smoke?

BertrandRussell · 23/06/2016 16:35

Why shouldn't you have a tattoo when you're on benefits?

I suspect I'm not going to like the answer to that question

Snarkmaiden · 23/06/2016 16:36

Reap
Does child benefit count? I normally spend that on gin

OurBlanche · 23/06/2016 16:36

Placemarking... to see how well roasted Bertrand gets Smile

StinkyMcgrinky · 23/06/2016 16:40

I think they look great and clearly suit the both of you. Your hair is going to grow back and make it less noticeable, if anything it's a more discreet place than on your arm or leg!

StinkyMcgrinky · 23/06/2016 16:44

Just seen your tattoo snark. I think it's beautiful Shock

Reapwhatyousow that's BS you just have to wait four months after the tattoo. If you're going to be a smarmy judgy pants at least get it right.

MrsSpecter · 23/06/2016 17:16

Baffled as to why OP's husband has to be able to grow his hair for the rest of his life. Confused do people with tattoos on their arms have to have hair transplants to be able to cover them too?

NeedACleverNN · 23/06/2016 17:18

This is getting confusing?

Why are we now suddenly talking about hiding them in the future. (Obviously if they want to they can).

It could be the case of them being 90 years old and STILL loving every single tattoo they have

BertrandRussell · 23/06/2016 17:18

I still want to know why people on benefits shouldn't have tattoos........

Because don't you know on benefits you are only allowed to leave the house to go shopping and take children to school. You must also only buy the basic cheapest food possible and the minimum amount so that you don't spend too much money. This can then all be paid back when you have a job see.

No extravagance or anything!

I got told off for buying a DVD on here once. Because I am on benefits

TheImprobableGirl · 23/06/2016 17:24

I have no tattoos but am on working tax credits... Do I get a shiny badge?

BertrandRussell · 23/06/2016 17:24

I just wanted the nasty mean spirited poster who said it to explain.......

MiffleTheIntrovert · 23/06/2016 17:39

I'm on disability benefits...can I have a tattoo? Grin

DH is encouraging me to. Apparently, it'll be ace as all my painkillers will mean I don't feel the pain. He's really selling it to me, isn't he?

OP they're lovely and snark you are extremely pretty. If I looked like that, I would be happy that I was losing my hair and could shave my head! Maybe I should get some hair tattooed on my head...

MiffleTheIntrovert · 23/06/2016 17:43

I think the mean spirited poster thinks people on benefits should have this tattoo...

to have gotten matching head tattoos with DH?
bootytoots · 23/06/2016 17:46

Yanbu! Your bodies, your rules! Other people making nasty comments and acting like your DP isn't a big boy who can make the decision for himself is an arse! P.s. I quite like them. Not exactly what I would have but they look brilliant on you both :)

ElleBellyBeeblebrox · 23/06/2016 17:46

Love them, they're yours, on your skin, so who cares what any joyless judgey bastards think.
