School favouring daddy's day!!

So school (private) tomorrow has a special morning for daddy and son at 7:30am to have a special breakfast together early enough so that daddy goes to work!
The Friday before Mother's Day they had a special 'lunch' with mummy and boy as obviously mummies don't work!!!
It was super hard for me to take time off work and teachers gave me a funny look when I'd asked if all mummies were coming
Obviously though tomorrow daddies don't have to take time off as its early breakfast
AIBU to be bloody annoyed?

Have they said to you that this is the reason for having a breakfast event?

Unless you're overseas and it's expat trailing wives ahoy and genuinely they're all playing tennis and getting their nails done all day whilst their husband works. (I work with a lot of men who have taken trailing spouses with them on overseas assignments - no offence to the wives because often they can't work (kids, language) so I'm not being scathing about the nails and tennis!

Maybe they had parents point out that lunch was completely hopeless and a breakfast would be better for getting patents in? I hope.

I don't know if they thought it was hopeless, mums loved it and apparently they did same theme with dads last year
I mentioned I was annoyed to a couple of mums and got the same reply as school

I know I have to live with it, it's bloody hard though being a working mum of DC on a school that doesn't have many!

Needless to say again they gave me a funny look when I couldn't help out with some volunteering work they were doing last Monday midday. Told them difficult to take time off but I received that look again!

It doesn't make more or less sense than 7.30am. Why is lunchtime more sensical?
