To think it's grim and lazy to piss in the shower

Inspired by another thread but not a TAAT.

I'm surprised how many people think it's OK and actually do it themselves.

OP posts:

I bet babies wee in the bath all the time without parents knowing,
It's really not that grim. I do it, just wash your bits and legs after lol

JacquesHammer · 07/06/2016 14:25

It grosses me out too and I have never been able to bath in a hotel since I found out it was a thing.... (I am probably odd though)

You do know they wash the bath between guests right? Grin

BigSandyBalls2015 · 07/06/2016 14:26

I've just started doing this after reading that piss can get rid of veruccas ..... I'll keep you posted.

mamas12 · 07/06/2016 14:26

And what about when you have a period can you never take a shower for fear of blood escaping which you have no control over and going down the plug hole.
We shower to get rid of the dirt and grime and sweat and etc of our daily lives and if part of that is peering and consequently saving saving water all the better

DeathStare · 07/06/2016 14:26

Unless you're in the shower at the same time as the pee-r, does it matter?

milkyface · 07/06/2016 14:26

YANBU.

I don't think I could physically bring myself to do it. I just find it weird.

Iknownuffink · 07/06/2016 14:26

Why not urine is sterile.

Saves water and is environmentally friendly.

squoosh · 07/06/2016 14:26

It's good for jellyfish stings too isn't it?

Good old piss.

mamas12 · 07/06/2016 14:27

You do wash your shower don't you?

Notso · 07/06/2016 14:28

Why is it grim? It gets washed off instantly.

Froginapan · 07/06/2016 14:28

Yabu

If you knew what was being washed of your body (including your anus) you'd have a conniption

ThomasRichard · 07/06/2016 14:28

Only immediately post-partum when everything stings.

And when you're a toddler, so that you can watch the bath water change colour and point it out to your delighted parent and co-bathing sibling Envy

Micah · 07/06/2016 14:28

Isn't there something though that urine can damage the plumbing if you do it a lot?

swampytiggaa · 07/06/2016 14:29

I love weeing in the shower. High point of my day at times...

AliceThrewTheFookingGlass · 07/06/2016 14:30

I share my bath with two small children who are unable to control their bladder. I think peeing in the shower is probably preferable to that.

OurBlanche · 07/06/2016 14:32

Weeing can damage plumbing?? OMG! Sorry, Micah, that really made me laugh Smile

BertrandRussell · 07/06/2016 14:32

"No you are definitely not being unreasonable -I'd freak out if I realised that someone was doing that in my shower confused"

But why??????????

Ramblesoften · 07/06/2016 14:32

I do it.
I also brush my teeth in the shower while I'm rinsing shampoo out...
Good time management.

It's pee, it's straight down the plug then rinsed off.

Maybe squatting down & having a big poop I could see an issue...

pigsDOfly · 07/06/2016 14:32

Unfortunately, like the myth of urine being sterile, it's also a myth that it's good for treating jellyfish stings. Unless you're peeing vinegar.

Laiste · 07/06/2016 14:34

It appears i am grim and lazy Grin

Iwasbornin1993 · 07/06/2016 14:35

I'm with you, OP. Definitely couldn't do it, and didn't know it was such a common thing! I think it's just the thought of peeing anywhere other than a toilet for me - I can't go outside when out walking/on the beach etc either.

I have been known to brush my teeth in the shower though if I'm running late!

ConcreteUnderpants · 07/06/2016 14:37

YABU.
I'm with Rambles... Shampoo in, wee, shower gel on, scrub teeth, rinse hair and body.
Saves time, money and water.
It's not like I just piss and get out.

StickTheDMWhereTheSunDontShine · 07/06/2016 14:37

YABU. It all goes to the same place.

Pissing in the bath is grim, though.

squoosh · 07/06/2016 14:38

it's also a myth that it's good for treating jellyfish stings

I was basing that on an episode of Friends so unsurprised to see it debunked!

VoleSnuffle · 07/06/2016 14:38

Private - "YANBU. I cannot abide the thought of it running down my legs, swooshing around my feet"

You do realise the shower is running yes? Not that you just piss in a dry shower cubicle.

I do it, my body gets cleaned in the shower and none of this pits and bits malarky, but Dove shower gel all over. Smells divine.
