To think it's grim and lazy to piss in the shower

Inspired by another thread but not a TAAT.

I'm surprised how many people think it's OK and actually do it themselves.

But did he want to hold your hand afterwards? Grin

I love weeing in the shower, don't know why but it feels so much more relieving than weeing in the loo -I also like to try and direct it- . Plus showers automatically make my bladder release ever since giving birth.

"It never occurred to me that anyone wouldn't."

Oddly enough, it never occurred to me that anyone would. Funny old world, isn't it?

disappoint15 · 09/06/2016 12:31

But Abraid, it has been cleaned - it has been washed immediately down the plug hole with the shower water and lots of soap and shampoo. I don't know if your urine possesses unusually adhesive properties but mine is a dilute liquid that doesn't magically stick to a shower while allowing water to flow past it. In fact, I clean my shower with water and soap.

liz70 · 09/06/2016 12:46

When I'm taking a shower
I wanna be a fragrant flower
Don't wanna stink of no piss
I'd rather be a fresh smelling miss(us)

So I know just what to do
Before I shower I pee in the loo
I don't care if folks think me prissy
I just don't want my shower to be pissy.

RivieraKid · 09/06/2016 12:58

Has never occurred to me to have a problem with liquid running down one leg while said leg and rest of body (plus tub with drain) are being simultaneously rinsed with a jet of clean running water.

People who admit to peeing in the bath, however, freak me out.

CheerfulYank · 09/06/2016 19:37

I rarely clean the shower and pee in it all the time :o

Ok there seems to be different types of people who pee in the shower Grin

If I need to pee before going in to the shower then I'll pee in the toilet, however I rarely feel like I need to pee before going in to the shower.

Once I'm in the shower however and the water is running down me then I often then get the urge to pee, now rather than get out of the bath/shower in a hurry and potentially slip over I decide to pee in the shower. Sometimes I may have had a pee 30 mins prior to showering but once I'm in there I will need another one.

So the above is different to those people who might know they need a pee before they shower, but decide they will pee in the shower as they are going in anyway. This can be to save water or time or just because they feel like it.

I am man and therefore I can direct little william to pee directly down the plughole, so no pee touches me. Obviously most of you are women so will get some pee on their legs/feet, however I definitely wouldn't describe it as 'sloshing' around your feet, as one PP did! Grin

The pee mixed with the water means you hardly see the pee and it goes straight down the plughole with the water and soap/shower gel. All drainage pipes eventually join in to the one sewer drain so it's all going to the same place.

There is no way peeing in the shower creates staining, this would only happen if you peed in the shower with no water and kept doing it with no water over a long period of time.

Peeing in the bath though is minging IMO Grin

Breadandwine · 09/06/2016 23:38

Asprilla is quite right - the two waste pipes from the toilet and the shower, in my bathroom, are about 4ft apart.

All you are doing, by peeing in the shower, as worried points out, is helping to save the planet.

And you can do even more by following the mantra:

If it's yellow, let it mellow
If it's brown, flush it down. Smile

BringMeTea · 09/06/2016 23:55

I seldom do. I kinda think it's gross and lazy. I think I have issues though because my rational side knows there is nothing 'wrong' with doing so. Conditioning and Catholicism in early life? Smile

Got this in my FaceBook feed today, immediately thought of this thread!

TFletchersWife · 10/06/2016 15:39

The other day I accidentally peed whilst in the Gym showers after a swim

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 10/06/2016 16:00

that orange stuff in the shower on your grouting is just a lovely layer of soap and people scum....we get it a bit, I bleach it off

I pee in the shower, it's good for preventing athlete's foot, Madonna said so.

Not flushing is vile! Get a water saver or brick in your cistern.

TheCrumpettyTree · 10/06/2016 16:04

Can I just get this straight, anyone saying they pee in the bath. Do you mean whilst you're in it so then you're sitting in your own wee? Because that's just grim.

Urine isn't sterile once it's come out of your body.

ohmywhatamisaying · 10/06/2016 16:30

My ex once had a shit in the shower. No, I am not joking.

Apparently as he had diarrhea, it was ok as there weren't many lumps - and he was able to wash his shitty arse straight away.

I still almost dry-heave when I remember the smell when entering the steamed-up bathroom afterwards

AddictedToCoYo · 10/06/2016 17:41

Well if he was very ill then I guess he couldn't help it and didn't have time to get out and sit on the loo, but that is a bit grim. Confused

ConcreteUnderpants · 15/06/2016 17:56

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia, I thought the orange between tiles was mouldy slime stuff.
I have some in the corner which I periodically watch go from pink to orange, whilst imagining breathing in lots of spores. Then get out my bleach spray and toothbrush (old one).

clicknclack · 15/06/2016 17:58

Not only are you saving water but you are saving paper. Imagine how much paper would be saved if everyone did this when they showered.

clicknclack · 15/06/2016 18:00

a quick google says that the average Brit flushes 39lbs a year so subtract some for a morning pee in the shower and multiply by number of years alive and number of people in the world who shower and use toilet paper. That is a lot of paper saved.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 15/06/2016 19:04

yes, mould slime stuff made up of soap scum and people scrapings

Lovely explanation here

ConcreteUnderpants · 15/06/2016 19:43

Delightful explanation indeed Confused

possibly more gross than I originally thought, but still, at least I don't have to be concerned with inhaling fungal spores any more.
