I think AH always looks absolutely beautiful. Good luck to her. She presumably feels confident and beautiful, as she should. As we all should.

EquinoxBloom · 25/05/2016 18:57

I'm fine with women being paid to get their asses out on TV.

As long as they don't mind not being paid once the ass is saggy and droopy and no one wants to see it any more.

You want a career which turns on whether your ass is photogenic or not? Be my guest. Meanwhile you'd better save for your pension though.

DistanceCall · 25/05/2016 19:44

There is nothing wrong with wanting to look sexy for a man. Or a woman.

MangoMoon · 25/05/2016 20:15

I always think Simon Cowell looks ridiculous in group shots where they're all standing.
He obviously wears lifts & heels (covered by his overlong trousers), but as he's just generally a very little man he looks like he's been photoshopped in most of the time.

MangoMoon · 25/05/2016 20:25

Just did a quick Google and found a couple of pics of his stacked heels & booster cushion.

It's not just the ladies that feel the pressure to look a certain way!

Onlyicanclean10 · 26/05/2016 07:48

What a bitchy post.

I think Amanda looks gorgeous and although I find her irritating I think Aleish looks good too.

Just5minswithDacre · 26/05/2016 08:03

What's up with her hip? Did the varnish run?

I've never seen any of these talent show programmes but looking at that picture there is a glaring discrepancy between the wardrobe expected of male presenters and female. The women look like cabaret performers and the men look like they've mooches out for a pub lunch. It's not 'knocking women' to say so.

Birdsgottafly · 26/05/2016 08:42

""I wouldn't wear a dress like that even if I had the figure. I suspect those who say they would are the type who claim getting your kit off is 'empowering'""

Your (and many others) attitude is the issue. You think Women can be put into 'types', based on how they like to dress, or look.

I like 'dressy up', 'showy' dresses. I like colour, I have been judged, more by Women, than Men, as Stupid (or lacking in Feminist knowledge) and a 'type'.

People, especially Women, are never that easily labelled.

When you are in AH position, not that she chooses her clothes, you wear Evening dresses, a lot and when your at your leanest, you might decide to not cover up, rather than show flesh, which makes the assumption that we should be covered.

I'm 48, I'd say to anyone that enjoys heels, drinking etc to make the most of it, because you might find by the time you reach 50, that your feet change and alcohol isn't your friend.

Onlyicanclean10 · 26/05/2016 08:50

I am 50 and wear killer heels and drink like a fish and haven't s clue what s hang over feels like Grin

Agree that people should dress how the fucking hell they like including Simon and Amanda and its fuck all anyone else's business.

Nasty comments say far more about the gobby judge than the person being discussed

Dawndonnaagain · 26/05/2016 08:54

I have no idea who most of these people are. I don't really care. What I do care about is women judging other women. We're our own worst enemies and until people like the op stop posting threads like this and judging publicly, nothing will change. So frustrating.
I don't have a problem with 'nice dress' or 'didn't like the dress'. I do have a problem with 'too much flesh' 'looks cheap' etc.
Pack it in!

Onlyicanclean10 · 26/05/2016 08:56

Exactly Dawn

loona13 · 26/05/2016 08:58

I know Amanda Holden's stylist, and believe me, she does not force her into those dresses. AH is asked what she wants to wear, and always has few choices. The same stylist dresses Fearne Cotton and Holly Willoughby.

Shakey15000 · 26/05/2016 08:59

Sick of folk bitching about what women choose to wear.

I think they look great. Good for them.

Onlyicanclean10 · 26/05/2016 09:03

Good for Amanda Ferne and Holly. Good for all women who dress up in Killer heels at 60 or flats at 20.

Good for us all. All choices are brilliant and good on us all.

Good on men's choices too.

MrsJayy · 26/05/2016 09:06

So what if she wants to wear these dresses personally i thought the 1 on tuesday was fugly but if she likes them then why not.

MrsJayy · 26/05/2016 09:09

Tbh I dont know how this thread is still going if it was anybody else it would be deleted as not in the spirit on mumsnet or some such shite but Amanda Holden is fair game on here wonder why that is

Onlyicanclean10 · 26/05/2016 09:11

Yes it's very daily fail

DaisyArcher · 26/05/2016 16:42

You must be quite chuffed though Daisy 10 pages and not 1 not in the spirit of mumsnet

Legendofthephoenix · 26/05/2016 18:29

I bet AH is chuffed laughing her way to the bank. All news is good news in the celebrity world. You're all talking about a dress is it the first time you have all seen one. Doesthis woman not have enough money as it is.

ForalltheSaints · 26/05/2016 18:49

I am disappointed that so many people appear to be watching this show. Reclaim your evenings!
