So today, a woman I've never met comes round to pick up something she's bought from me online. She says ' oh I recognise you, I run down such and such lane, and I've seen you with your daughter'. I say I don't have a daughter. That's my boss, and she's 38, and I'm only 46, but thanks'. Aibu to think, she is a rude cock?

And Dustin Hoffman is only 6years younger than Anne Bancroft. Age is a funny thing.

I get this and I'm always offended. I honestly think I would look younger if I lost weight.
I posted on her recently that the receptionist at the lesiure centre wanted to know if I was oap or adult for my swimming ticket. I'm 43 :'-( (Non smoker and too poor to have holidays abroad)

I took my 80 year old mum to sign up for an OAP holiday and the bloke in charge thought I was one of the OAPs (I was 44 at the time). Recently, my mum has moved into sheltered accommodation, and one of the people there asked my sister if she was the new tenant (she's 49!). About 5 years ago, somebody said they had seen me out 'with my girls', and when I said I didn't have children, she described them. She was talking about my niece and my sister, who is 2 years older than me. I have just come to the conclusion that I am basically a wizened old bag.

Ah so maybe the OP's boss pays her to act and look like she is her mother. OP, if this is your job you have really wasted everyone's time

Yes that's right, I get paid to stand next to hot chicks, to make them look younger! Pays great, but workplace morale is low

Oh dear. It did remind of a time when I was interviewing a job candidate with my boss (who is 3 months younger than me). The candidate was about 15 years older than us and at one point she made a joke about something but then turned to me and said "...but that would have been a bit before your time of course, it's more our generation (indicating herself and my boss!) My boss was silently furious and no, the candidate did not get the job... Lol!
