To think it's not on to shout abuse out the window at people!?

I was walking into town yesterday when a white van drove past me and a man shouted fatty out the window at me Angry

I'm absolutely mortified and so glad that I was on my own I would have died if there was anyone with me!

I am rather fat at the moment, I had twins less than a year ago and I'm struggling to find time to exercise but surely even if I was 25 stone or something it doesn't give someone the right to embarrass me like that.

Don't know why I'm posting really but I can't tell anyone in real life and it's really bothering me.

Oh my God all these men spewing vile and controlling poison at women! I'm getting really angry reading this! Angry Let's agree that the next person this happens to takes a picture, posts it on here, and hope the Guardian picks it up (Daily Mail would prob agree with the twats).

God this happened to me last week too. I was with my 8 year old at the time and he shouted across a fucking duel carriageway just to make sure I got the full 'fat whore' comment. I had to explain to her that some people are just dicks.

My mum was once leered and shouted at by two blokes at the top of some scaffolding at a house further down her street. She went and knocked on the door and told the man there what they had shouted at her. They must have been sacked because they disappeared after that.

Wtf is wrong with these people men?

Is it only men/boys perpetrating it? I can't imagine many women would do this. I've been honked, whistled and jeered at, in younger days (by men). I'm horrified to think my daughters could experience worse. Seriously, why goes through their brain? Do they even have a brain?

DD1 has stunning blond angel curl hair and she is always getting pervs blokes shouting out of car windows at her.

Once aged about 16 she was walking out of her dancing class located in the local craft village when she heard a man say to his 8 year old son "Go on..." after which she heard the boy shout "Nice bum!" Angry

Luckily she doesn't suffer fools gladly and marched right over to the man and his son and really laid into them. There were quite a few people around who heard what the boy had said and applauded her rant. They went away very sheepishly.

Wonder why men think it's ok to do this?

A car full of lads decided it was a good idea to scream their heads off while they drove past me, normally I don't give a flying fuck but I was walking with my little brother who is autistic. Arseholes.

This has happened to me loads OP, comments about my weight or tits. I really sympathise, but remember that a comment from a complete wanker doesn't define you.

I was once walking past 2 blokes in a pub on the way to the toilet. One looked at the other, made a comment about my weight and said 'no way, she's all yours'.

I said nothing at the time but got more and more pissed off, so when I got out of the toilet I went over and politely asked why they'd said that. Both of them denied it so I pointed out that;

'She's all yours' implies an element of choice, and that I'd be willing to have sex with either, when the reality was that I'd rather fuck a goat.

As I had spare fat available, would they like some to inject into their cocks to make them a more acceptable size.

Otherwise, perhaps it would be wiser to leave complete strangers alone and stop chatting shit.

I was quite loud, surrounding people started sniggering and they apologised. Fuck em

I saw a man with a large belly being screamed at by a man in a car the other day. The poor man looked stunned. The guy in the car and his passengers thought it was hilarious. They were absolute pond life.

It really is the time of year again alright Angry I was walking to my car from the gym yesterday minding my own business and a gang of arseholes insisted on beeping their horn and shouting pervy comments and whistling out the window at me. I was absolutely fucking mortified and felt a bit sick to be honest - why do men think it's ok to do this kind of thing?

Sharon that was an ace response, I would've paid good money to see their faces after you let loose!

Vincent I had a customer come up to the bar and tell me that he knew my weight problem wasn't my fault. I was like Hmm. He went on to say that I had the face of an angel and that someone as beautiful as me wouldn't choose to stay fat if I could help it. I was stunned. He was very offended when I called him pathetic piss flap and told him to do one. He actually thought he was being nice to me.

I posted in the running threads about this...I regularly get abuse from dickheads whilst I run about my weight. I'm a size 22, but I am out there three times a week running 5k. Like someone on my post said to me, I won't always be fat, but they will always be ignorant assholes.

Cheers Chanel. When the police arrived they got out of the car. The police officers pretty much told them to drop it. They didn't even tell me off or caution me. I think they knew something had gone on. My ds shouting "They called mummy fat!" over and over didn't help their case. :o

Before I knew him when he was about 20 DH had long hair. It was blonde and shiny and flaxen, but he had it shaved off when a lorry driver saw him from behind and beeped at him and shouted "phwoar" out of the window. I'd question whether the driver should have been driving the lorry actually because DH has massive shoulders and doesn't remotely look like a girl. It didn't seem to occur to him that this shit is what women and girls face all the time, and his mates just thought it was hilarious that he'd been mistaken for a girl.

I can completely empathise with you, I found it really difficult to get back into shape after having twins and I had so much floppy skin, the comments I got used to make me weep.
The worse thing was my stomach was so stretched for so long I looked permanently pregnant and it was the "Oh gosh your'e brave having another when you've got your hands so full"
Try not to let it bother you, he is a mouthy idiot, you produced two babies in one go, you are superior to him.

My ds was 2 weeks old and I was walking out of the hospital from a check up and some guys actually said 'I bet your baby like to suck on them titties ' Shock

I used to get this a lot, I was massive, I've lost 8 stone and I still need to lose more so you can imagine how big I was, but that's still no excuse.
Worst one was when I was standing at the bus stop opposite my house, a white van drove past then stopped, did an elaborate 5 point turn in the road and then drove back slowly past me. The driver stopped, wound down the passenger window and screamed 'fat cunt' at me several times before driving off cackling. I was stunned and just stood there crying.
I really can't understand the mentality behind it.

Reading this has brought back horrible memories I have of being yelled at and abused for being fat. It really does affect you.
I remember being in a nightclub and someone came over to me to tell me I'm fat and ugly. I just walked out devastated.
These wanky pieces of shit are exactly that. They don't deserve one minute in your head.
I'm so sorry that so many of us have had to put up with this.

I've had the screaming thing a few times in my life, no words, just a general lairy noise- always from boys/men. I'm average looking, average height and weight, brown hair, wearing very normal clothes and not doing anything out of the ordinary other than walking along. Used to happen at school walking between class and happens every once in a while now, always when they are in a group.

I just wonder what goes through their minds when they do it, am I supposed to be attracted to it, or scared?
