Just askin'

And place marking for updates Grin

This thread can't end there, it's not an episode of Eastenders!

Haven't RTFT but FB pages are picking up on the OP now

HAVE YOU CANCELLED THE CHEQUE YET, OP?
thatorchidmoment · 09/05/2016 08:05

Thank you all, for your kind tolerant adulation of my little poetic efforts!
I'm basically the Florence Foster Jenkins of the sonnet.
Not RTFT since we got a second one. Did the OP find a way to cancel the cheque?
Grin

RiverTam · 09/05/2016 08:12

I love that this entire saga is serving as a public information announcement for people to finally learn how to highlight the OP's posts. Hopefully the plus side of all this (not that it needs a plus side, as the whole thing is a complete plus) is that you'll get fewer people behaving like twats for not reading the OP's posts and piling in on them 18 pages in when the situation has changed.

wonkylampshade · 09/05/2016 08:25

Ok, curiosity gets the better of me! Can someone link to the original thread?

ElspethFlashman · 09/05/2016 08:29

.......I just want to know now if Tinydancer ever crossed paths with Gluezilla again...

Thread moved to Classics, and here's a link although pretty sure someone must have buried one in the midst of this thread!

The phrase 'cancel the cheque' to me is like a really good song that's just come out that the radio station then plays so much you start to really dislike it and it just becomes a bit meh and boring.

Creamcrackered1 · 09/05/2016 10:56

OP - pleeaaassee post the message on Facebook. This will definitely go viral - this ex-colleague needs shaming!

... and cancel the cheque! xx Grin Grin Grin

StrictlyMumDancing · 09/05/2016 11:03

I really hope puzzled has gone to cancel the cheque. Its really the only logical solution!

riceuten · 09/05/2016 11:08

The other thread had me scrolling through the pages desperate for answers. MN has been far too stressful of late with 'Did she get on the train?' and 'you threw away my sushi.... MY SUSHI?' Either I need to stop reading MN or stop watching friends!!

JohnCheese · 09/05/2016 11:20

RELIEF!!

I was having withdrawal symptoms from thread 1. Couldn't find this thread. ANd Puzzled you cant leave us now! NO!!!! I need to know more. There must be more...

YY, I'm with the pp that wondered about Mr. Sold His Company and Puzzled hitting it off and sailing into the sunset. Once they cancelled all cheques of course Wink

Lweji · 09/05/2016 11:31

Oh, goody.

Have you?

(It's really unfair that people with the app could still post on the thread when most of us couldn't )

Janecc · 09/05/2016 11:36

Just checking that anyone, who wanted to read part 3 gluezilla saw the reference up above. From Elspethflashman 8th may 22.54.

Thanks Elspeth for checking out my message and checking the thread details for me. Going in.... To check it out.

a1poshpaws · 09/05/2016 11:45

I asked several of my own friends for their reactions, and the results were not only unanimous (cancel the cheque, lol) but pretty darned explosive too. You MUST keep us updated! Have a hug from me, too.

PiecesOfCake · 09/05/2016 12:08

Thank you for the highlighting tip, it has made my week oh bugger it's only Monday (together with this and the dress thread)!

slice · 09/05/2016 12:22

bugger CTC (I KNOW, I KNOW its been cancelled!! Grin)

Advert on gumtree. Bridal dress for sale (with a pic of her wearing said dress) £10 ono with her mobile number attached....that said she has probably already flogged it to countenance the paucity of wedding gift donations!!!!!! (I'm joking, I think £100 is v.generous and she's an ungrateful cowbag)

Please, please, please leave her a cheque in your will for 1p.......with a note, I'm so sorry you were upset at my wedding gift all those years ago, it was an ill judged amount and has plagued my thoughts for some time. I hope you can find it in you heart to accept a more fitting donation.....revenge is a dish best served cold!!!! Mwah ha ha.

VenusRising · 09/05/2016 12:35

I think I'm in the minority as I don't miss cod at all. Shock of course, it was awful when she was outed, and all that palaver, and hope she's ok.

But, it seemed to me she was very lazy about her spelling and grammar in a narc- ish, entitled way, IE Cod styleé: "I sohvel the ltetres out, it's yuor job to make snese of the wrods, btihces".

IMO She was hard work Shock

I do miss aitch and MP. Is Bitoffun still around?

Off to read the Maui thread... Hope my lunch is still in the fridge...

CheersMedea · 09/05/2016 12:40

I think I've read all of both threads (I know that Puzzled can't cancel the cheque because it has been cashed!)

But this is my burning question:
Did Puzzled get a reply to her "shurely shome mishatke" email?

or have I missed a post.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 09/05/2016 12:45

I don't think she has had a reply from BrassFacedBride yet, no. She may never get one, especially not now MrsIndiscreet has done her work so well!

CancelledCheque · 09/05/2016 13:07

I think she has unsportingly blocked Grabby McBrideface so won't receive any reply.

SoupDragon · 09/05/2016 13:11

Holy crap that's bitchy!

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 09/05/2016 13:13

OH yes, you're right Cancelled - Puzzled does say that she blocked the sender of the original message. Hey ho, never mind. :(

CotswoldStrife · 09/05/2016 13:18

We did cancel a cheque once and it costs money to cancel the things - there's a charge. So when you cancel the cheque, don't forget to reclaim the fees from the grabby couple as well Grin

SundaeLieIn · 09/05/2016 13:23

I've lost a whole morning catching up with these threads. Awful but brilliant.
