AKissACuddleAndACheekyFinger · 09/03/2016 22:26

I have read the entire thread and my biggest concern is that hanging hearts in your window makes you a swinger?! I need to rethink some decorations...

ExasperatedAlmostAlways · 09/03/2016 22:42

Teresa Brown (green) 😂 brilliant!

jimpam · 09/03/2016 22:50

I know of twins called Alfie & Freddie which I thought was ridiculous (both short for Alfred?) but apparently IABU with that Hmm

ihateminecraft · 09/03/2016 22:54

I knew a Wayne Kerr, a Dick Head, oh and a Mike Hunt! Not to mention a Dr Fingret.......

3BusyBabies · 09/03/2016 23:01

akissandacuddle I thought that too!!!!! ShockBlush
Why displayed in your window though? Are you inviting complete strangers nutters/deviants to randomly knock on your door for sex??? I've always thought the pampas grass one must've been started by some joker but this is a new one on me.

moanyhole · 09/03/2016 23:09

My mother taught a Richard Head in the 1970's. When she met him at a school reunion years later, he had changed it.

I had a tenant who was Michael hunt. And another one who was "nahida mann" (say it out loud....). And my friend knew a Ewan Kerr at university - the bar named a cocktail after him!

ChristmasZombie · 10/03/2016 08:03

My mum knew a girl at school called Mary. She went on to marry a Mr Christmas. They ran a big pub for a few decades.

I went to school with a Richard Head. Not that uncommon.

I've taught a Lovedai, a Precious, a Princess, a Honeybunny, and a girl called Elvis. Also met a mum at baby clinic once with a baby girl "named after Jack Daniels". Jacqueline? Nope! Danielle? Nope! Tennessee, Nessie for short.

Samanthacoombes · 10/03/2016 08:56

I know of twins called Luke and Leah.....but this is way better !,,

Mandymops · 10/03/2016 09:01

Our vet in Zimbabwe was called Everard Cock. True story. He's in the veterinary register.

Julius02 · 10/03/2016 09:09

I once knew two brothers called Wayne and Shayne. I also know someone who called her two sons the same names but the other way around which I've always been fascinated by - not their real names but think Matthew James and James Matthew.....

CurlyBlueberry · 10/03/2016 09:18

My primary school's office was staffed by two women named Mrs Lamb and Mrs Shepherd Grin

WeveGotAHomelessLove · 10/03/2016 09:28

jimpam · 10/03/2016 09:29

Forgot my favourite twin names I've come across- Calvin & Klein. No joke. Also not twins but DP had a client called Yermaw Zahoor which is brilliant if you're scottish.

BlueEyesAndDarkChocolate · 10/03/2016 09:33

I don't believe that, sorry.

Wardrobespierre · 10/03/2016 09:36

IdaJones · 10/03/2016 10:12

Toddlers - Dick and Fanny.

Chinny reckon

HawkEyeTheNoo · 10/03/2016 10:23

I know twins that on birth Certs and all legal docs their names are one and two!! Their "middle" names are the ones they go by!!! Also a girl called Pocahontas with a very hard sounding Scottish surname, a friend of a friend teaches her and she has changed her name in the last year ( think she must be about 16 now)

Kit30 · 10/03/2016 10:26

Colleague had kids called Sam and Ella
We took to referring to them as Ella and Sam. She segued into it too so no harm. And she was lovely and kids were too. Don't believe the D and F story btw - tho have noticed resurgence of name Tuppence which in 40s and 50s was slang for vagina. Go figure

Keeptrudging · 10/03/2016 10:27

Jimpam, that's brilliant Grin (I'm Scottish).

My friend's ex-GF's brother was called Neil Downie. The ex had a very boring name.

Postchildrenpregranny · 10/03/2016 10:30

One born once showed midwives discussing a parent who intended to call their daughter Chlamydia They were trying to disuade her

badtime · 10/03/2016 10:39

Secret, Emily and Amelia are not the same name. Emily has a Latin origin, whilst Amelia is Germanic.

Obviously, Emily and Emilia are the same name.
