Toddlers - Dick and Fanny.
Not short for anything, apparently. British family.
Lordy.

Also just remembered my grandad 'jack' had a younger brother called 'Danny.' Being cockneys this was the source of much hilarity

Twinsareplenty · 09/03/2016 20:34

We used to call our twins Chlamydia and Waynetta when out in public.

x2boys · 09/03/2016 20:35

Said this before on here but my paternal grandad was Bill and maternal grandad was Ben.

SatsukiKusakabe · 09/03/2016 20:36

Yes I think so Here

Old English but was left prevalent in Cornwall.

Quietattheback · 09/03/2016 20:38

I think Loveday is a sweet name.

Sparklingbrook · 09/03/2016 20:42

Loveday came up on a baby name thread. I thought it sounded like a mail order sex shop.

liberatedwine · 09/03/2016 20:45

My son goes to school with a girl called Becky, I only recently discovered her full name is Beckham, not Rebecca.

fluffypenguinbelly · 09/03/2016 20:47

Everard and Ophelia Dick and definitely real.

CinderellaFant · 09/03/2016 20:51

You just met them today yet she showed you their passports?! Very strange...

Ohdearohdearme · 09/03/2016 20:52

There were 3 Fanny's on my dad's side of the family - all elderly or have passed away, born in an age before the name had that connotation. My Dad gets all defensive when I laugh at their names. However - I kid ye not - their full names are:

Fanny Beaver
Fanny Cox
And the third one has a normal surname but is married to a William, so often get's called Willy's Fanny.

The first thing you see when you walk into my parent's hall is a framed piece of embroidery, with the name Fanny Beaver in large letters. As an only child, I stand to inherit it. Rest assured that's one family heirloom I won't be displaying ...

Finallyonboard · 09/03/2016 20:55

Ohdear - that has made my day! Brilliant.
