Yep, another thunder thighs here. The top of my thigh circumference measures the same as a slim girls' waist measurement. Yes, I'm embarrassed about it. Yes my trousers, tights etc wear out at the thigh.
Jeans wearing through at the inseam has been the bane of my life since I was a teenager.
I hate wearing trousers as it highlights my huge thighs, however it keeps my thighs from chafing. I've seen those, 'comfort shorts' but I've yet to buy any.
I wear leggings to the gym or any other exercise as I need to get my BMI down. Best keep trying.
When I was at school, my thighs would chafe until they bled when I was walking to school, walking around, then walking home again. The walk home was the worst as by then the chafing was at it's height.
I would go home, wash and dry myself. The chafing would heal up over night then my thighs would chafe until they bled all over again the next day. Summer was hell. As in, 'it's a nice day, why don't you go and put your shorts on ?' (Some people just didn't get it !)
I used to take talcum powder to school. Whilst I was in the girls toilets I would use it to dry off the area affected by chafing, to dress it somehow. This was 1979 to 1983. The year makes no difference I suppose.
Yes, I heard about the huge payout made by Johnson and Johnson to someone who has cervical cancer caused by using their talcum powder.
There's a product available presently that deals with chafing whether it be the arms or anywhere really. It looks like a tube of something sold by a chemist.
