As far as I can remember, the cops found Mum in the pub and the husband has had to fly home from abroad to deal with things. I hope RecordMirror is ok, she must be absolutely fucking LIVID!

The mother should see the whole thread really. Obviously some serious issues going on there. The poor 4 year old!

You know what I read it an OP seemed really worried and just trying to do the best for two children. There was no unecessary drama and she tried to not to give revealing details. I don't think it was a wind up at all but I do think some people on here should be ashamed of themselves for the childish fighting on that thread and attacking a worried parent asking for help.

What part of 'No troll hunting on the thread' do people not understand? My troll radar isn't the best (although getting better) but it seemed genuine to me and quite a few posters said that similar things had happened to them. One poster concluded that it was a troll because the last update was 'too rushed'. This isn't a novel or an article to be critiqued. If you don't believe it, REPORT IT.

Poor kids and indeed poor mum. Her mind must be in a turmoil with guilt. I don't doubt and let's not forget addiction is an illness in itself. I hope she gets help for her sake of her poor babies if not herself.

I think it could be entirely genuine. Very similar happened to me many years ago when kids were little.

Mum of child on play-date went AWOL. Couldn't reach her on phone (child was fortunately old enough to know her grandmother's phone number and her dad's phone number - parents were divorced.) Spent a very long time ringing various family members and eventually - hours after child should have been collected - managed to find a relative to take child in. Mother was out on the lash somewhere. She had form for it, it turned out.

So, yes, it could very well be a genuine story. The troll hunters do get very tiresome sometimes.

It got to 1000 posts and was full. Most of the posts were people place marking and asking for news.

I feel so sorry for those kids.

I said that too Maryz - of course its the husbands fault because as it wasn't the first time she'd done something similar, he should have never left her to go away on business. Because she can't take responsibility for her own of course.
