Or am I being lulled by his make-up team and the strange studio lighting on The Voice.

Think I'm getting a bit of a crush Blush

Have also been watching old videos an amazing talent.

I really like BG on the Voice. I'm pleased he's coming across as humane, candid, fallible, a product of his life experience. I was only a kid in the 80s but loved his music and have always admired how he's been his own person. Saw him DJing at Cream almost 20 years ago - he was makeup-less and looked like a plain bald fat bloke (which technically I suppose he was!) but his set was amazing. He's a real music talent.

He went through some bad times with drug addiction as was not a nice person then. The details of his crime speak for itself but he's done his time - very publicly - and moved on. If only all convicted criminals did so.

Sallystyle · 07/02/2016 10:03

But why don't any of the contestants want him as a mentor? Apart from one?

I am still really sad that my Paloma love has ended. I loved her music so much but now all I can see when I hear her music is a whiney immature woman who comes across as really thick.

Does she think she is cute or something?

Finola1step · 07/02/2016 10:03

I loved BG as a child. I remember watching CC's first appearance on Top of the Pops. Amazing.

I also remember the crap that got thrown at BG from that point on. And how upset for him I was when he was very, very ill with addictions.

He has had some very dark moments in his life. I am delighted to see him back on primetime TV looking well, sharp and as beautiful as ever. He is great on The Voice, intelligent and very considered. And he was absolutely right about Paloma Faith, she was very rude.

So basically Voyage, his make up is beautiful, not him!

I used to think Paloma was kinda cool - turns out she's just an annoying twit.

CauliflowerBalti · 07/02/2016 10:09

Boy George - yy.

Paloma Faith though... No need.

Lj8893 · 07/02/2016 10:09

I'm really disappointed with Paloma, I thought she was going to be the first female coach I liked! I was wrong, she's even more annoying than Rita Ora!

CauliflowerBalti · 07/02/2016 10:11

Also, if all 4 turned for me I would choose:

Boy George
Ricky
Will
Sorry I've changed my mind I don't want to play any more don't make me be Team Paloma.

I've no idea why they aren't choosing BG. His uk music connections trump all others.

Sparklingbrook · 07/02/2016 10:13

I wonder what he thought of you VOD.

Lj8893 · 07/02/2016 10:16

I would have chosen Tom Sad

SurferJet · 07/02/2016 10:16

Rita Ora is a Shakespearean actor compared to Paloma.

Sparklingbrook · 07/02/2016 10:19

Oooooh. Martin Kemp is on Sunday Brunch C4 now. He's looking fine.

darksideofthemooncup · 07/02/2016 10:24

sparklingbrook Martin Kemp lives in our town and i quite often see him and Shirli in our local Waitrose. I can confirm that he is indeed a fine looking man Wink

Sparklingbrook · 07/02/2016 10:25

Oh *dark" I am well jel. He is lovely. Envy

Sparklingbrook · 07/02/2016 10:27

Wonder what he's plugging today? Wasnt he in Birds of a Feather?

bibbitybobbityyhat · 07/02/2016 10:32

It isn't a "BG appreciation thread" it is in AIBU ffs.

Ask the question "aibu to find BG attractive" then some people are going to disagree.

So (if I may, if its alright with some of you) - yes, I do find it impossible to fancy someone with such an unpalatable past (quite apart from finding it odd to find really effeminate homosexual men attractive).

Jeez.

Jeez. Indeed.

Moln · 07/02/2016 10:43

It's just occurred to me I've mixed him up with Adam Ant. I've no idea what I thought of Boy George now. I liked Adam Ant though. He also looks better without makeup; I therefore declare him the winner.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 07/02/2016 10:43

I think we are equally annoyed Sparkling!
