My ds, 7 months came with me to a return to work chat, unofficial. Nice colleague said she'd look after him in office.
Come back to find hes had some banana and a shortcake biscuit.
Not a massive problem, but hes 7 months, and I'm not happy hes had something sweet. Hes also allergic to dairy so now I have a sad, spotty baby with tummy ache.
I didn't say anything coz she's the kind of person to get upset, crocodile tears, and tell everyone her mistake.
But now I'm home I'm fuming!
Aibu?! Who gives a baby a biscuit without checking with parent?!

We've become so scared of food. Yet the more scared we become, the fatter we get. Can't believe we're debating the 'reasoning' behind offering a child a biscuit. There is no reasoning because...it's a biscuit. You don't have to write a thesis justifying reasons why you offer someone a biscuit.

Heard a mum yesterday at the school gate trying to persuade her young child that crunching on raw carrot would be the reasonable thing to do at that point. She pulled out her own raw carrot and said in her best loud parenting voice 'see, mummy is going to eat a carrot too!'

Whoa! You mean to say this neurotic mother brought carrot sticks to the school gates, and then went on to eat one in a bid to convince her child to eat one?

She's obviously showing off.

If she has a few spots it's hardly life threatening! An intolerance, if you will. As the parent of a child with food ALLERGIES I think it's ridiculous you didn't tell the person you left your child with that she has an allergy! The more I think about it the more the mind boggles...
