Ok my mum passed 4 years ago my relationship with my sister has never been good. But we dealt with mums house and belongings very well.

Mum had some beautiful picture frames 2 large 2 medium and four small now they are stunning etched glass. My sister did not want them so I had them.

Now my sister has decided she would like one. I am using them and understand that she would want one but I have them displayed with pictures in them. I want to give her two small ones however I know she wants a large one. AIBU to say that because she didn't want them and I am using them I want to keep big ones.

I know she will be pissed off but i want to see what others think.

Take back some control.

You are in the driving seat because you have the frames hanging in your house, they're yours.

You sound intimidated by her but don't be.

What's the worse than can happen, she'll stop speaking to you, so what?

if you stood up to your sister a bit more perhaps the dynamics of your relationship might change for the better. you can see from this thread that most people think you are in the right and her the wrong. if you are going to act like a doormat, then she will continue treating you as one.

But you live with your DH, who is annoyed with/for you.

You don't live with your sister who is manipulating you.

Do nothing. If/when she asks again say "No. On mature reflection that is not going to happen"

Practice saying it, start now.

Say nothing else. Hang up on her if needs be. But please, you are an adult, she reduces you to a child and demands your compliance. Stop it! Stop it now!

I have started a new thread as I would be interested in seeing how people view our relationship.

You feel obliged to give them to her as you said you would (when caught off guard).

She feels perfectly entitled to demand them after you've owned and used them for 4 years!!!!

That all sounds reasonable Hmm
