This is all light hearted, because of course I wouldn't repeat this to my friend, but I can't help but bloody feel for her girls! Grin

No word of a lie, the girls are going to be called Chummy and Bonnie! AIBU to say these names are a bit.. Something?

KateUpton · 18/12/2015 21:01

Are you about to dripfeed that they're Labradors?

KateUpton · 18/12/2015 21:01

They're twin HOMO SAPIEN girls Grin

SaucyJack, I came on this thread to say those names sound like dog food brands. Grin

OTheHugeManatee · 18/12/2015 21:02

Is Chummy short for something? Cholmondelina perhaps?

GinIsABreakfastFood · 18/12/2015 21:03

Is your friend aware she's having daughters and not puppies?!

KateUpton · 18/12/2015 21:04

Afraid not, they're full names. I made the mistake of asking what they're short for, and I won't say what look I got in return Envy

I'm afraid that Miranda Hart and the Blue Peter dog spring to mind.

janethegirl2 · 18/12/2015 21:04

I agree, nice names for labradors Smile

chantico · 18/12/2015 21:04

I thought dog food brands too.

Is there any possibility you misheard? Especially the pedigree Chummy?

YerTiz · 18/12/2015 21:04

Chummy - wasn't that Miranda harts character in call the midwife?

janethegirl2 · 18/12/2015 21:05

The only Bonnie I know is a golden retriever, and I know no Chummys

MrsH1989 · 18/12/2015 21:05

I could get on board with Bonnie but Chummy? I have heard some equally bad names recently such as Bunty, Sunbeam and a friend who said she would call her son roast (if she ever had one). WTAF?

MitzyLeFrouf · 18/12/2015 21:05

Human girls called Chummy and Bonnie?!

Poor Chummy. At least she's got a support system from day one. She'll need it.

What are the parents like? Will Bonnie and Chummy have a good pedigree?

Ba-doom-tish.

KateUpton · 18/12/2015 21:05

I didn't mishear, and what's more, I know it's spelt like that because any posts about the twins includes their names [santa]

Chummy is ridic. So Chummy from Call the Midwife, is it a pet name or a shortened/nick name? Sorry to be thick.

KateUpton · 18/12/2015 21:06

VoldysGoneMouldy · 18/12/2015 21:06

Chummy is ridiculous.

MrsBobDylan · 18/12/2015 21:07

Bonnie is cute, but Chummy...heavens!

mrsleomcgary · 18/12/2015 21:07

Bonnie isnt THAT unusual here in Scotland - it's not common but it wouldnt make anyone go Hmm! But chummy sounds like a posh labrador, and the two together are bloody awful!

YerTiz · 18/12/2015 21:07

Moonriver it was a nickname, real name Camilla!

LightDrizzle · 18/12/2015 21:08
