This is all light hearted, because of course I wouldn't repeat this to my friend, but I can't help but bloody feel for her girls!

No word of a lie, the girls are going to be called Chummy and Bonnie! AIBU to say these names are a bit.. Something?

Bonnie is ok. Chummy is terrible!

When people get them mixed up poor old Chummy will come off worst again. Connie and Bummy.

Chummy is one of those names where I want to say to the offending mother; if you think it's so great, why don't you change your name to Chummy and see how much fun it is, rather than inflict it on a poor innocent child?

It's just so cruel, especially when her sister will have a relatively normal name.

Chummy isn't a name. It's just a sound you will have to repeat until the other person is too embarrassed to ask again and then you will see them avoiding using the 'name'
