Regarding her posting a video of the school carol service on FB?

She has tagged in one of my friends so it's come up on my news feed. I'm shocked as it shows loads of them. Probably can't see mine but only because they were hidden.

I was thinking a gentle do you know it's totally unacceptable?

Or email the class rep so a blanket email goes out to all classes via the class reps?

Or contact the school and let them deal with it?

it's unfair to kids to wrap them in cotton wool.

Like possibly being abducted or seeing a relative subjected to abuse or worse?

TaliZorah · 18/12/2015 17:04

MrsDeVere I think the two overlap. They shouldn't but often they go too far.

Still because everyone's at risk of that.

MrsDeVere

So why doesn't that apply to other areas of life? Anyone can put a photo of anyone online. Adults can be hiding too. Why does this only apply to children?

I don't like civil liberties being eroded due to arseholes. It's unfair.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 18/12/2015 17:18

What about the civil liberty entitled by people to live a life untroubled by nasty bastards determined to track them down?

SaucyJack · 18/12/2015 17:18

How is it eroding your civil liberties to not post pictures of other people's children online?

Crabbitface · 18/12/2015 17:19

You think it's a civil liberty to be able to post photographs or videos of strangers' children on facebook?? Weird!

Do the children not have any civil liberties?? Privacy...safety... nah!!

GloriaSmellens · 18/12/2015 17:20

'Civil liberties'? Grin

Quick, call Shami fucking Chakrabarti, I'm not allowed to post pictures of other people's kids on the internet!

TaliZorah · 18/12/2015 17:23

Because it's pictures that have your own kids in too.

SanDiego then those individuals need to be dealt with instead of making it everyone else's problem

3littlebadgers · 18/12/2015 17:23

I don't like innocent children's lives being put at risk by areholes either. That too is unfair.

So, due to having children you are suddenly given a free pass to put others in danger. Wow now that is precious!

Are you talking about the erosion of the rights of adults who don't have opposable thumbs

Grin
TaliZorah · 18/12/2015 17:30

MrsDeVere my point was if someone were to randomly take a photo of me and put in on FB there would be nothing I could do even though I could well be in hiding.

Why is it different for children?

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 18/12/2015 17:30

Bloody hell its amazing how thick some people are.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 18/12/2015 17:31

It goady

TaliZorah · 18/12/2015 17:31
Hmm

If that was at me I'm not thick at all. I just don't believe this over paranoid crap you lot seem to

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 18/12/2015 17:31

Or both

Missanneshirley · 18/12/2015 17:31

Tali are you training to be a teacher ? I sincerely hope you don't get a job.

There is/was a programme on this week about a year of domestic abuse - you should watch it.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 18/12/2015 17:32

Yeh you're right and everyone else is paranoid
Confused

TaliZorah · 18/12/2015 17:33

ha. So I'm good at my job, the school I worked at loved me and I'm doing well on my course, but someone online says they hope I don't get a job? Shame.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 18/12/2015 17:34

you won't survive five minutes in teaching
not that I believe you have been within a mile of a classroom

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 18/12/2015 17:35

Or contact the school and let them deal with it?

this!!!!

TaliZorah · 18/12/2015 17:35

I worked as a TA. But fling insults at me because I disagree that looks really mature
