In a nutshell; poster throws a strop and doesn't like the answers they are getting.

AIBU to think it's a massive cop out?

OP posts:
winterswan · 05/12/2015 14:55

That was a nice apology Flowers

Sansoora · 05/12/2015 14:59

Well done Smile

AnyFucker · 05/12/2015 15:03

That apology is no more than the group of people Melcombe insulted with her horrible sweeping statements deserve.

My mirth was at the ridiculously teenage "the bad people made me do it". That sort of comment always deserves the piss ripped out of it.

I am glad you have reflected on, Melcombe, and found your comments to be out of order.

ilovesooty · 05/12/2015 15:07

She hasn't apologised for the aspersions cast on five unnamed posters.

Well it appears to be four now she's named one of them.

MelcombeBingham · 05/12/2015 15:10

Let it go.

Bambambini · 05/12/2015 15:12

Whether that was the case or not. It was obvious that she was upset and getting herself more wound up and losing it as they thread continued. If you want to deliberately wind her up by mocking and laughing at her to upset and winder her up even more - crack on.

Sparklingbrook · 05/12/2015 15:13

I do think Melcombe should let it go.

BadlyBehavedShoppingTrolley · 05/12/2015 15:14

Not the major theme here I know, but I'm always amazed anyone answers those 'What are your job and salary' 'What are your kids' names' 'Where do you live including GPS co-ordinates' threads. Identification within a couple of other cross referencing threads just waiting to happen.

Me too. I am always extremely cynical about the motives for starting those threads.

ilovesooty · 05/12/2015 15:14

So do I.

ilovesooty · 05/12/2015 15:15

That was to Sparkling sorry.

BadlyBehavedShoppingTrolley · 05/12/2015 15:15

Although I have on occasion responded to them with answers that are a load of made up nonsense just to throw any possible outers off my scent. Grin

Bambambini · 05/12/2015 15:16

If she had a hard time from certain posters who made her feel like shit, I don't see why she should apologise for saying that. She has not named them, I guess they will either recognise themselves and possibly their behaviour or not. It's hardly a public outing. Why are you so invested in defending these unnamed posters who no one knows who they are anyway.

StrawberryTeaLeaf · 05/12/2015 15:19

Badly Grin

Sparklingbrook · 05/12/2015 15:19

I think Melcombe made a mistake in posting and raking all this back up again and upsetting herself in the process.

ilovesooty · 05/12/2015 15:19

I'm not interested in defending them when I don't even know what they said. I just think accusations like this are unpleasant and goading. I explained exactly why upthread.

Melcombe has been big enough to apologise and thats usually when others on the thread are big enough to change the subject and start afresh.

Are you not on TES at all now Ego?

Sparklingbrook · 05/12/2015 15:25

Nicely patronising Ego. Hmm

You must be!

Sparkling, I didn't read it as patronising. I agree with ego and fortunately it has only happened to me once but I really did get awfully upset when my thread went peculiar, and there was no way I could have seen it happening, so to speak.

Sparklingbrook · 05/12/2015 15:27

I found it patronising. Sorry about that.

ilovesooty · 05/12/2015 15:28

Sparkling Ego genuinely has been treated shabbily by TES.

winterswan · 05/12/2015 15:29

I've also seen other posters get really distressed and sometimes have clearly been drinking or just have other problems that mean they react badly to people, and instead of walking away people do push and goad and try to make them angry so then they respond with a sarky 'you sound lovely OP' or similar.

It upsets me just to read at times.
