This letter of complaint was brought to my attention today.

As I rule I do not watch Jeremy Kyle as I find the man vile however his treatment of this women was disgusting and I think his show should be axed.
The author urges anyone else who feel as strongly as she does to complain to ITV, I will be sending my e-mail today.

to the show. However it is not all of it. The full show can be found on ITV player if you subscribe it is the 12\11\15 show.

Shocking.

Of course you're not being unreasonable. For the first time in years, I sat down and watched an episode today. I was going write a post asking if anyone else thinks he's very over the top and often doesn't really listen to what people are saying. I didn't because I thought I'd be called unreasonable for watching in the first place.

It just proves my point. Thank you for posting OP

CurlyhairedAssassin · 13/11/2015 17:34

MN needs to start a campaign against him. There are impressionable people watching him do that to people. They will copy.

Aeroflotgirl · 13/11/2015 17:34

It was right that she was removed from that environment, as the mother was not able to take care of her, but it is evident that the poor woman was abused. Back then, it seemed accepted, there wasen't the support or education about it, that is here now. JK should have approached this in a sensitive and dignified manner, instead of firing questions at her, and making her feel worse than she probably already feels.

^^This would be great.

I have too.

Did anyone else remove the tick so their details wouldn't be passed on to the broadcaster? I did, and the synopsis returned after processing my form said they would pass my details on......

So now I've complained to Ofcom about complaining to Ofcom!

HelenaDove · 13/11/2015 17:42

We need a campaign raising awareness of reproductive coercion too.

StanSmithsChin · 13/11/2015 17:43

I agree.

It is so sad what he did to that girl. He could have engineered a really heart-rending reunion full of forgiveness from the young woman who thought she was the victim, and full of love from the mother who thought she'd never see her long-lost daughter.

He could have made a show which highlighted the dreadful loss of autonomy involved in being the victim, and educated millions of people in the mechanics of abuse, he could have sent out a message that dv or any kind has no place in a civilised society and encouraged men and women everywhere to shun abusers.

He could have made an award winning show, which brought society a little further into the light.

Instead he makes a nasty, vitriolic and tawdry piece of shit, full of hatred.

Perhaps he's just not very bright.

ginmakesitallok · 13/11/2015 17:45

MN needs to start a campaign against him

Agree wholeheartedly

ARV1981 · 13/11/2015 17:46

I don't watch Jeremy Kyle. I don't have a telly! But, I did just watch that clip and read the other link.

I can't believe this vile man is allowed a voice on national television. He should be stopped. That is no way to talk to anyone, let alone someone who has endured years of abuse. God, the poor woman must have suffered enough after having her daughter taken away, to then be blamed for it so publicly is appalling.

That man is vile. He does seem to hate women.

HelenaDove · 13/11/2015 17:48

I havent watched these kinds of shows for years. I watched the clip and that was enough.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 13/11/2015 17:51

Does anyone know how they are paid for appearing on the show? I have visions of these people being told that they have to appear for the duration otherwise they won't even get their travel expenses home.

SevenSeconds · 13/11/2015 17:55

Another link to the Ofcom website

I've just filled in the Ofcom complaint form

stitchglitched · 13/11/2015 17:56

He is disgusting and completely lacking the emotional intelligence required to deal with vulnerable people. His attitude to women is vile and he regularly uses misogynistic language for any female guest who he feels doesn't meet his standards of behaviour. Some of his 'advice' is factually incorrect, a lot of it is downright dangerous. And Graham Stanier should be hanging his head in shame.

Bambambini · 13/11/2015 17:57

Can't he be challenge on the shows FB page or Twitter? Wonder if anyone else is talking about it.

StanSmithsChin · 13/11/2015 17:59

I can't do twitter it is too complicated. Blush

That clip has made me cry.
What an arrogant bastard

Labtest7 · 13/11/2015 18:03

I'm going to be really unpopular here but I don't feel any sympathy for the daughter who was adopted. She admitted she had no memory of her life with her birth mother and had a good life with her adoptive family. Why did she feel the need to drag her birth mother on national to to explain herself?

I've also complained. It was disgusting how he spoke to a DV victim and the daughter who tried to defend her.

Bambambini · 13/11/2015 18:03

Me neither Stan, I have an account but don't really know how it works. But, it would mean that it goes to him and other people will see it.

Sixpencenonethericher · 13/11/2015 18:09

I've complained too he's horrid

MrsNutella · 13/11/2015 18:17

That's disgusting! I don't think I would have made it through a the whole programme. I found it hard enough to watch that clip. I have complained! I may have bent the truth a little since I'm not currently resident in the UK

treaclesoda · 13/11/2015 18:18

I have complained too. On the one had, I feel that I don't really have a right to, as I don't watch the programme and only watched this clip because someone linked to it. And I am always a bit scornful of people who complain about things that they didn't see/hear.

But then I watched a bit of the clip (as much as I could bear) and I just thought, no, I can't let that go, I can't turn my head and pretend I didn't see it. He is a despicable bully.

hairylittlegoblin · 13/11/2015 18:19

Have complained to Ofcom too. He shouldn't be on air.
