I've been thinking about it lately and don't know why. I don't think its jealousy. maybe its because she is getting away with it, and has had unbelievable luck in life with the "singing" and "designing" She is probably nice enough in RL but her pouting and posing just grate.

I thought she came from quite a privileged background?

OnlyLovers · 01/11/2015 16:19

Her parents' backgrounds are hairdressing and engineering, according to Wikipedia, and they eventually started their own business.

So quite successful, but in the eyes of the British class system self-made and therefore rather nouveau, as MrsDeVere says.

I agree with MrsD's last post.

TheFairyCaravan · 01/11/2015 16:39

MrsDV it might come as news to you but you aren't the only person on MN who has experience with disablity and disabilty services, you know!

SuperFlyHigh · 01/11/2015 16:39

I used to think she was miserable and dislikeable based on media coverage of her, but she's now shown different sides to her personality and I think she was just shy and wanted to portray an anonymous character to the public.

She seems nice and likeable from recent media coverage, funny, happy, a great parent. What's not to like?!

Fairy you know those fantastic power chairs that you see children using?

Do you think they are provided by the NHS?

They aren't. They are donated. Quite a few are donated by the Beckhams. They buy chairs for children because the state won't.

But they spoil their own kids so that wipes out everything else they do yes?

^ This^ is what I'm talking about MrsDV!

Don't patronise me and tell me how the NHS and disablity services work, because I know because I am disabled!

LaurieMarlow · 01/11/2015 16:50

Completely agree with Mrs DV. It's the nouveau-ness of the Beckhams that sticks in some MN's craw. It's also why the daily mail hates them. Nothing worse than the aspirant trading classes doing well for themselves, they need to be put back in their box.

Actually it's a shame the Beckham's are so public about donating disability aids.
