I've been thinking about it lately and don't know why. I don't think its jealousy. maybe its because she is getting away with it, and has had unbelievable luck in life with the "singing" and "designing" She is probably nice enough in RL but her pouting and posing just grate.

In simple terms, howto, children's rights to privacy are governed by their parents' decisions in that regard unless and until the parents lose parental responsibility. Therefore there is no breach of the children's rights occasioned by their parents' decisions. If pap shots and the like are taken without parental consent there would be, but that is another matter.

nokidshere · 01/11/2015 15:03

This thread would be hilarious if it wasn't so tragic!

Pimping out her children? They all seem pretty happy to me whenever they are shown doing something - usually as part of a family event!

Popping out kids till she got what she wanted? There are millions of women who do that every day! My parents tried 6 times to get the boy they wanted but they never did!

Abused????? Really? Good god some people here need a reality check!

What has she achieved? A loving husband, 4 beautiful children, a sportive extended family, more money than we could dream of, a music career (however crap) a fashion career which appears to be successful....

Some serious jealousy and envy going on here I think!

Birdsgottafly · 01/11/2015 15:03

I would of thought you had a point until you bought up Gweneth P, who, from the moment she was pregnant became an expert on everything and shared every aspect of parenting.

She's just done a photo shoot for Halloween, with her children.

The most mentioned/pictured toddler, I noticed was Suri Cruise.

I don't take that much notice of Clebs, but the Beckhams are a huge Celebrity couple and they seem to be adjusting their children into the world, that they will be a part of.

LaurieMarlow · 01/11/2015 15:05

Squoosh, those disgusting articles have been written about many youngsters, the one I specifically recall was EmmaWatson. In her case, no one thought to blame anyone but our puerile media that peddles this shit.

Neither Watson (for seeking fame herself) nor her parents (for allowing it) we called into question and rightly so. Why are the Beckhams different?

I always think they look fairly miserable tbh!

TheFairyCaravan · 01/11/2015 15:10

I'll tell you what they did that annoyed me.

Not so long back it was Romeo's 13th birthday. David pulled strings so he could lead the England team out with Wayne Rooney, either on the day or a couple of days either side. Behind him was an unwell little boy. Any decent parent, especially one whose children are already so privileged, would have allowed that little boy to have led the team out. But no, not the Beckhams.

nokidshere · 01/11/2015 15:12

To be fair my teenage boys often look fed up when we have to be somewhere that they would rather not be - surely that's par for the course for teenagers Grin

squoosh · 01/11/2015 15:13

Laurie I didn't read the article about Emma Watson. Presumably though it was she written because she was a celebrity in her own right rather than just related to someone famous? No it doesn't make sleazy articles okay but it's sadly part and parcel of choosing that lifestyle. My point is that the Beckham kids weren't given a choice. If he had had a fame free childhood this kind of article wouldn't have been written in the first place.

For all I know he may well love being a high profile teen but it's hard to get the fame genie back into the bottle, better to live your awkward teen years in anonymity!

SoupDragon · 01/11/2015 15:16

I assume you were party to the arrangements so know exactly what happened...

TheFairyCaravan · 01/11/2015 15:18

David Beckham admitted he pulled strings so Romeo could lead the team out

OurBlanche · 01/11/2015 15:20

Of course he did. Every parent pulls a string or two, if they can.

It's just the visibility of some strings that annoys some people Smile

MistressMerryWeather · 01/11/2015 15:27

I'm sure the other little boy had a fantastic time.

Was there any suggestion that he was bothered about how things went?

If he wasn't, why should you be?

howtorebuild · 01/11/2015 15:29

So the ambassador for UNICEF www.unicef.org/crc/index_protecting.html isn't practicing what he preaches, afterall.

DickDewy · 01/11/2015 15:31

I have met her, and David.

He could not be nicer, whereas she is un-friendly and haughty.

What irritates me about VB, is that she's loaded, has 4 kids, a handsome cheating bastard husband, and yet still she looks bloody miserable all the time.

Sparklingbrook · 01/11/2015 16:07

Well she has kept a reasonably low profile and is worth a fortune in her own right.
