to expect a text after we slept together?

BigOCupOfTea · 25/10/2015 13:43

So I've been seeing a guy for around a month and we had our fifth date and I stayed at his and we slept together.

We both left early as he had work.

He would have finished work by now and I've heard nothing from him.

Am I expecting too much?

1 text. Then just leave it. But don't ignore your gut feeling, it is there for a reason.

Helmetbymidnight · 25/10/2015 17:14

Agree with teapot dictators neck.

I think the vote should not be text or not text - it is irrelevant- but whether he is interested in not. I'd venture not.

Sorry Brenda for revolting against the electoral process.

Goingtobeawesome · 25/10/2015 17:14

Bottom line if you really like him then you are cutting your nose off to spite your face by not texting as you run the risk of him not bothering. Then both of you could be missing out on something good.

As a follow on to my advice of making him buy dinner before you do the thing.....
I just went and felt my husband up, and told him I'm sexing you up so you buy dinner,he says oh I see. I'm buying dinner?? I'll buy dinner on Saturday.
I run away and say, and Friday and Tuesday! So he comes and jumps on me, I say no!! No! You've been sexed once, that buys three dinners!

Smile it works all the way up to marriage!!

Helmetbymidnight · 25/10/2015 17:16

iPaid · 25/10/2015 17:18

lorelei9 · 25/10/2015 17:20

ooh I did love Victor in DH

OP, please don't hate me but one of my bugbears

you say he hasn't "text" you. You mean, he hasn't "texted" you. /pedant mode off

sorry, I just don't know how that word has morphed somehow - and I thought it would be a good distraction Grin

I don't date, but this thread seems to be split 50/50

I think I'd need a day (24 hours) space - and I'm a woman.

Helmetbymidnight · 25/10/2015 17:20

It's the hanging chads all over again.

unicorn501 · 25/10/2015 17:20

I had this very same dilemma last Sunday. I texted him. He texted right back! Therefore, I vote text.

herecomesthsun · 25/10/2015 17:20

So is there an argument for discretely leaving one's toothbrush or handkerchief or something behind in such a situation? Then one could text the lucky man with a light hearted compliment or some such while arranging to pick up the item/ round 2?

BigOCupOfTea · 25/10/2015 17:23

you say he hasn't "text" you. You mean, he hasn't "texted" you. /pedant mode off

I couldn't care less.

It's shit like this that makes people insecure about posting on here.

where is OP ...he's turned up with flowers hasn't he?

TEXT: 11 DON'T TEXT: 3??

I understand your reasons for not texting, since you've been hurt in the past.

But, much as you're not sitting around pining, you also won't know what he's thinking and it's on your mind since you posted.

On that basis, I say text.

ggirl · 25/10/2015 17:25

gah..my internet is so fucking slow

OP sit it out ..if its meant to be ....

BrendaandEddie · 25/10/2015 17:25

So agree.... 'he hasn't "texted" you.

Any news?
I wouldn't text and I'd be really pissed off
See how it goes the next few days and if you think he's arsehole and he's here only for the ice cream leave it.....there are so many out there
Voting was a fab idea btw!
Good luck!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 25/10/2015 17:26

Agree with your last past OP. I now use text instead of texted to piss the pedants off. Who cares.

herecomesthsun · 25/10/2015 17:27

Ok if not handkerchief, maybe mobile phone case? OP might have one of those?

BrendaandEddie · 25/10/2015 17:28

text - 0 texted - 1
