Far far too skinny, it's not attractive, how does she stay alive?

Are you really a dietitian? Would you say the same about your clients? It's just horrible to talk about her weight like this.

vestandknickers · 24/10/2015 22:00

She is a beautiful woman, but she is very thin and looks fragile.

AdoraBell · 24/10/2015 22:29

How can you see that she, or anyone else, is malnourished with professionally applied make-up covering their skin, and under the lights on TV shows?

GoofyIsACow · 24/10/2015 22:39

Huberts... Are you Cheryl? If so, i think you are fucking fabulous

mellowheart · 24/10/2015 22:39

What's up with everyone. Can't we slag of celebs anymore. They put themselves up there and make a lot of money out of it. They want to be talked about. Cheryl Cole hasn't got much talent, she's got where she is through her looks, therefore she's got to expect people commenting on how she looks. She is too thin, not a very good role model to young girls I'm afraid.

emotionsecho · 24/10/2015 22:42

By whose standards is she too thin? Would you deride other celebrities for being too fat and therefore not very good role models?

Dontlaugh · 24/10/2015 22:43

I suppoes if she's fair game, then can we criticise all the "fat" celebs?
Thought not.
I am in the too thin camp myself, through stress. The amount of people commenting on it is astounding.
Most of them fat.

howtorebuild · 24/10/2015 22:48

I dare not think of the reports parents will get in the summer...

OllyBJolly · 24/10/2015 22:48

Cheryl Cole hasn't got much talent, she's got where she is through her looks, therefore she's got to expect people commenting on how she looks. She is too thin, not a very good role model to young girls I'm afraid.

To paraphrase James Blunt - her mortgage is paid. She has done well out of her girl next door looks. She's made a little talent go a long way and that's a talent in itself (and good on her for keeping her gorgeous accent).

She's not too thin at all. She's probably about the same as me and I'm acceptable BMI. Couple of sleepless nights or a bit of stress and I look hollow eyed and gaunt - stress passes and I'm back to normal immediately.

We're fatter as a society so our frame of reference is bigger. I have the same build as my mother had. She was seen as average; I'm seen as thin.

WorraLiberty · 24/10/2015 22:49

mellowheart what is it about you that wants to slag another person off because of their weight though?

Does it make you feel better/happy in some way?

If so, why?

TheFairyCaravan · 24/10/2015 22:50

I'm in the "too thin " camp too! Although in real life I'm not, I'm healthy and eat well.

howtorebuild · 24/10/2015 22:51

Maybe her red pen has run out, no spelling mistakes to take her frustration out on so Cheryl got the brunt?

emotionsecho · 24/10/2015 22:57

OP clearly can't be bothered to defend her position on the subject though.

howtorebuild · 24/10/2015 22:58

Probably for the best.

Dontlaugh · 24/10/2015 22:58

I personally think Cheryl has made a fabulous living out of her perceived personality, her looks and her persona. That in itself is a talent, as pointed out previously. There is a business acumen there which has to be acknowledged, regardless.
To target her for her weight appears petty, mean and bullying, and so it should, because it is. There are many many more celebs out there with arguably less talent and business acumen, who weigh 3 times Cheryl's weight, but who cannot be criticised because they are "real". 12 stone+ is not "real" - it's inviting heart disease, diabetes, and ongoing health issues but hey, let's not fat shame. Because they're "real women".

Marshy · 24/10/2015 23:14

It's tit not tic......as my HCPC registered dietitian colleagues enjoy pointing out to me Grin

Just saying....

F0xglove · 24/10/2015 23:14

Is she any thinner than legions of other slebs? They're all thin.

(cheryl is beautiful though)

mellowheart · 24/10/2015 23:18

Perhaps "slag off" is the wrong words to use, but crikey, haven't people always had opinions on celebs. We don't have to like them all. Just watch Goggle box, nothing wrong with it. Men or women, if they're celebs, they're fair game.

NotAQueef · 24/10/2015 23:20

needa really? Megan Trainor is unhealthily overweight? Bonkers. Of course she isn't, and to include her in the same bracket as Tess Holliday is ridiculous.

mellowheart · 24/10/2015 23:21

Of course she's too thin, her face has gone gaunt. If it was my daughter I'd be concerned.

twilight81 · 24/10/2015 23:22

I'm thin... Many a times in my life have people found it ok to tell me I need to eat more.
Truth is I would look better with more weight on, it just doesn't happen easily.
It's rather upsetting when people just assume because you are thin it's a choice.

Dontlaugh · 24/10/2015 23:23

Well then mellowheart, I entirely look forward to your posts on fat celebs, and WHY they can't stop eating so fucking much. Please post the links on here - funnily enough, I think I will apply the same levels of compassion and empathy to them as I do to the skinny ones.
And when you post on the male fatties or skinnies, very definitely post the links to those.
Oh wait.....

emotionsecho · 24/10/2015 23:26

Careful Dontlaugh you'll be told to 'get a life' as I was when I asked the OP to do the sameGrin.

mellowheart · 24/10/2015 23:28

Oh lighten up for goodness sake.

suzannecaravaggio · 24/10/2015 23:28

we had exactly the same thread a few weeks back
