to think that there will be a revolution?

Does anyone else think that people are going Corbyn crazy? Personally, I reckon that people in this country have become so accepting and demotivated by the lack of real choice in politics that they have lay politically dormant for years. Corbyn is speaking up for the poor, the sick and disabled, the mentally ill and the "hard working" people of society. Really, he is encompassing such a big sector of society whilst marginalising the super-rich. Surely, the majority are now going to step up and overthrow the Bullingdon Club PM?

I loved the radio report about him 'speaking against injustice', as though any politician is going to say 'I really love a bit of injustice'.

anothermakesthree · 29/09/2015 18:48

I sincerely hope not.

PantryofWhoGivesAFuck · 29/09/2015 18:50

No.

jeee · 29/09/2015 18:50

A revolution is the only way that Corbyn would get into No. 10. There's not really much chance of him getting power through the ballot box.

Shutthatdoor · 29/09/2015 18:51

Exactly. It's like the 'kinder politics' line. Nobody stands up and says I want to do 'unkind politics'

Funinthesun15 · 29/09/2015 18:51

Absolutely not

Sillybillybonker · 29/09/2015 18:53

Isn't the fact that he refused to make personal attacks kinder?

Also, isn't wanting more equality kinder?

No, they say nothing and just do the unkind stuff... Angry

DurhamDurham · 29/09/2015 18:55

There'll never be a revolution in this country.....things have to get a lot worse before there's even a bit of civil unrest never mind an all out revolution.

He'll never be voted in either, I think he represents a few sectors in society the same way that Cameron does......the great forgotten middle is represented by no one. Cameron looks after the rich, labour the poor but I don't think that any one party represents my family.

LilyTucker · 29/09/2015 18:56

Doubt it,he sounds like a loon.

atticusclaw2 · 29/09/2015 18:58

I think he'll set back the labour party and they'll take a long time to get back on their feet. His views are only representative of the extreme left and many labour voters are very far from extreme left.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 29/09/2015 18:58

No, I don't think so. I think the starry eyed lovers of Corbyn will fall out of love. And I think Britain is too central political party wise for him to succeed.

Shutthatdoor · 29/09/2015 18:58

He may not, but some of his supporters do. Keyboard warriors that think it is ok as they are behind a screen.

Pixi2 · 29/09/2015 19:00

I think that it has been a very long time since there has been any opposition, true opposition. The debates will be interesting. As for the rest, I will make up my own mind.

Sillybillybonker · 29/09/2015 19:01

I think he'll set back the labour party and they'll take a long time to get back on their feet.

But the membership of the Labour Party has grown massively since he was elected leader.

OP posts:
atticusclaw2 · 29/09/2015 19:09

Most voters in the country aren't a member of any party though so it is by no means an indicator.

LunchpackOfNotreDame · 29/09/2015 19:09

Corbyn's a dick Hth

SomeDizzyWhore18O4 · 29/09/2015 19:10

Yep, standing up for the vulnerable, the homeless, the poor, the self-employed, the disabled... What a loon Hmm

BrianButterfield · 29/09/2015 19:13

So what if he's not talking to the middle? Tories support the rich getting richer. That leads to inequality, unfairness, mistreatment of the poor and ill...so I'm not one of those groups, but if life was better for them the whole country would be better. A better place, happier, fairer...a party doesn't have to be targeting me specifically to come up with policies that nevertheless make life better for me. Do I want my children to live in a world where you need to go to private school, pay for private healthcare, have contacts to get a job? No, and I don't just want that for my child, but every child. Why should politics just be about my family? What about every family? Selfishness is endemic at the moment.

LunchpackOfNotreDame · 29/09/2015 19:16

If I voted selfishly I should vote labour. But I'm not selfish and I don't see labour being any good for this country

atticusclaw2 · 29/09/2015 19:18

I would also vote labour if I was a selfish voter.

I don't.

FarFromAnyRoad · 29/09/2015 19:19
LilyTucker · 29/09/2015 19:21

Sorry but I don't think labour or Tory policies are good for this country, they just so happen to both also be shite for the large number in the middle of which I am one. If that is selfish so be it.

LunchpackOfNotreDame · 29/09/2015 19:23

I'm sensing a chance for a come back for the lib dems to take the chasm that is the middle middle rather than the right of middle the tories occupy or left of middle labour want to occupy.

atticusclaw2 · 29/09/2015 19:24

I agree lunchpack
